Chapter 561 - Is There Some Misunderstanding?

"I think these events are enough for you to think this through, don't you? Now tell me what you've decided!" Rossier Senior demanded, enunciating each word.

Fiona, Abbott, and the others looked at each other in silence for a second, then smiled wryly.

"You win, Rosier, we surrender!"

It was likely heaven ahead and hell behind. Any normal person would know what to choose!

"That's the spirit, my friends! I'm sure you'll be more than grateful for this choice in a few years!"

Rosier Senior laughed and put down his wand, then stepped forward to hug Fiona, Abbott, and Rowle before moving on to Foley.

Despite his bitterness at the fact that Rossier Senior had just tortured him, Foley understood the situation and decided to let bygones be bygones.

"By the way, Rosier, where's Nott? How's he doing?" Foley asked curiously after releasing his grip on his brother.

They did not see Nott for several days, and Foley wondered if Nott was dead.

"He's alive and will live for a while, but he's as good as dead! If anyone's to blame, it's his nephew's recklessness in offending Sir Harls!" Rosier Senior sneered.

He didn't try to hide anything from her and told her everything he had learned from the other wizards, including the fact that Mingus Notte had transformed into a brown bear in the meeting room and plotted against him.

"According to their description, the giant that Lord Harls transformed into was forty feet tall, and he could crush Rhys Nott as easily as an ant!"

"But instead of allowing Reece Notte to experience the feeling of having all his bones crushed, the merciful Lord Hales used an unknown spell to instantly take Reece Notte's life," Rosier Senior added.

When Fiona and the others heard this, they were secretly shocked and in disbelief. Not to mention the strange magic of killing with a flick of the finger, it was already bizarre enough for a young wizard to transform into a giant more than ten meters tall.

The only magic they could think of that was related to it was the Animagus Transfiguration, but the fact that the Animagus could not transfigure into a magical creature was universally acknowledged in the wizarding world!

"Nothing is impossible! Remember what the Regulators reported to us two years ago?" Rosier Senior reminded him.

"You mean the special Patronus in the form of a unicorn? But isn't that Doggett's magic?" Abbott frowned.

"Duggart? Hmph, he's just a decoy! If he knew how to do such magic, do you think he wouldn't have used it in the previous battle? Two years ago, it was actually Sir Harls who secretly saved his life!" Rosier explained.

"Two years ago? How old was he?" Fiona gasped.

From Ivan's young face, it was likely that he was the same age as his daughter. In other words, two years ago, Ivan was only eleven years old, but he had already mastered such powerful magic. It was unimaginable!

More importantly, a young wizard with superior strength, but not arrogance, cleverly concealed himself in the shadows, and let Dougett and Alicia draw the enemy's attention. It was only now that his strength had risen to the level of the Dark Lord that he was finally able to show himself. It could be seen how ambitious he was!

Fiona finally understood why old Rosier described a thirteen-year-old wizard as "unfathomable".

Foley and Rowle recalled the incident as well. They were initially skeptical when they heard the news, as Patronuses were generally considered to be ordinary creatures.

Since Ivan's Patronus could be a unicorn, it seems not entirely impossible for him to turn into a giant.

Foley and Rowle could only marvel at the young wizard's abilities beyond their wildest dreams.

"I hope you haven't forgotten who the other special Patronus was!" rumbled old Rosier.

Albus Dumbledore!

The name came to everyone's mind at once. Many in the wizarding world knew that the Headmaster of Hogwarts had a pet phoenix, and that even its Patronus was in the form of a phoenix!

Could it be that Hales was also a member of a special magical family? But why was he unknown in the British wizarding community?

Abbott and the others couldn't figure it out, so they attributed it to the fact that the House of Hales wasn't a native British wizarding family, and that the conditions for blood inheritance were harsh.

The more they thought about it, the more likely it seemed, and the more they agreed that Ivan Hals must also have been a pure-blood wizard, given his talent for magic.

Then we'd all be on the same side…

Rosier Senior did not participate in their discussion, turning to the two werewolf wizards and imploring them to remove the magical shackles on Abbott and the others.

This time, none of the werewolves refused, although they did not leave or return the wand after freeing the pure-bloods.

"Come on, let's go see Sir Harls!"

Rosier spoke to them, then led them out of the dark basement and to Ivan's room, where they were followed by two werewolf wizards.

"Don't talk nonsense when you're inside, or I won't be able to save you!" Rosier warned sternly.

"Don't worry, we know what's important and what's not!" Abbott and the others nodded solemnly. However, they were uneasy at the thought of meeting the young wizard who was as powerful and unpredictable as the Dark Lord.

After knocking on the door, Rosier Senior took a deep breath, opened the door slowly, and entered with Abbott, Foley, and the others.

The room was large, with the curtains half drawn and the light dim, lit only by a roaring fire.

Ivan was sitting on the sofa on the right side of the room, reading a book. A few wizards were lying nearby.

Although they did not seem to have been tortured, they appeared to be in a weakened state of mind. They did not even have the strength to speak or move. One could only imagine the cruel torture they had been subjected to!

"Sir Harls!" The old Rozier's voice shook slightly. He had not expected to be so unlucky. If he had known, he would have wasted another day!

The young wizard in front of him slowly closed the book and glanced at them. His black eyes seemed to have magic, and Abbott and the others suddenly felt as if their thoughts had been seen through. Their hearts skipped a beat, and they quickly lowered their heads, not daring to look Ivan in the eye.

Perhaps it was because their emotions were too scattered, but Ivan could vaguely read their scattered emotions in that instant.

Panic, fear, tension…all kinds of strong emotions came to Ivan's mind.

After an afternoon of training with the Death Eaters, Ivan had managed to raise Legilimency to Level 2. If the other party's mood swings were obvious enough, he could easily tell how they were feeling by looking at them.

Ivan, however, was troubled by the fact that, on several occasions, the wizards who met his eyes became so nervous and fearful that he wondered if there was something wrong with his Legilimency.

Am I that scary? Why does it seem like everyone is afraid of me…

Yvonne frowned at the thought. Was there some misunderstanding?

He did want to rely on his strength as a deterrent to make up for his age, but this did not mean that he would rule in terror like Lord Voldemort and be able to be kind to his subordinates…
