Chapter 396 - What Did You Do Last Night?

Early the next morning, Ivan woke up with a yawn and immediately checked Scabbers's condition.

This grayish-black rat was currently lying by the window in a daze, as if its brain wasn't working properly…

Seeing this, Ivan couldn't help but worry that if he used the Memory Charm too often on Peter, it would damage his brain, and if he accidentally caused Peter to lose his mind, that would be terrible…

With that in mind, Ivan got out of bed and washed up.

Harry, on the other hand, had changed into his Gryffindor uniform early in the morning, although he did not look too good.

Harry thought this was a sign from his mother, and the sound of it echoed in his ears, as if his parents were constantly asking him why he had not gone to Sirius to avenge them.

While Harry was lost in his thoughts, Ivan came up to him and patted him on the shoulder, consoling him. "Don't think so much, let's go, there are lots of people out there waiting to cheer and applaud you!"

Harry nodded reluctantly, Ron grabbed Scabbers and stuffed him into his wizarding robes, and together they headed to the Quidditch match.

As she strolled along the corridor and looked out of the window, Ivan realised that the weather was not looking too good. Outside, the wind was blowing hard and the sky looked grey and overcast, with dark clouds threatening to gather.

Apparently, a storm is coming…

Harry was equally keen to see this, and silently prayed that it would not rain … at least not in the meantime!

However, just as they were about to leave the castle, a bolt of lightning tore through the sky, and a huge rain began to fall…

"This bloody weather…it's terrible!" Harry exclaimed, looking helplessly up at the sky, feeling as though everything was against him these days.

Playing in a storm is not a good choice, as the rain and wind can cloud vision and make the Golden Snitch more difficult to find.

Although the opponent would also be affected by the heavy rain, he would still be wearing glasses, and it would be troublesome if the rain soaked the frames during the match…

As Harry sighed and complained to his two friends, Ivan tried to think of something to say, but just as he was about to say something, a voice behind him interrupted.

"It's actually quite easy to deal with. All you have to do is put a waterproof spell on your glasses."

Ivan turned to see a small, brown-haired witch carrying a large ginger cat approaching them from behind.

Ron instinctively grabbed hold of Scabbers's pocket, and Scabbers, who had just poked his head out to get some fresh air, also ducked inside.

"No, that's good!" Hermione ignored Ron and walked over to Harry and tapped his glasses with her wand, casting a waterproof spell on them.

Ivan, meanwhile, took the opportunity to change Harry's glasses to protect them from the wind, so that they would not fall off during the match.

"This is great!" Harry exclaimed, touching his magically enhanced glasses, which were no longer a burden, but a magical prop to keep out the storm and rain.

"By the way, Harry, there's one more thing I need to warn you about. It's best not to fly too high in the game!" Yvonne warned him, thinking back to the time when Harry would have fallen out of the sky due to Dementors.

"Why not?" Harry was puzzled.

"Because the Dementors often patrol mid-air, and if you accidentally touch one, it might affect your form during a match…" Ivan said cryptically.

"I don't think so, do you? How dare those Dementors come into the school and openly interfere with the game? The professors wouldn't let them!" Hermione interrupted.

"Yeah… and I'm not that bad at holding my own. I'd insist on finishing the game if I ran into any more Dementors." Harry thought Ivan was underestimating his abilities; he wasn't that vulnerable.

Ivan shook his head when he saw the disapproving looks on their faces. "You'd better not overestimate their endurance!"

After reminding him, Ivan did not try to persuade him otherwise. It was uncertain whether things would go the way they had in the original dimension, and it was possible that the Dementors would learn from his lessons.

Given the presence of the professors on the field, even if the Dementors were desperate, Harry's life would not be in danger. The worst that could happen to him would be a shock, and he would be forced to work hard to learn how to summon his guards.

By the time Ivan and the others arrived at the stadium, Wood was already there, waiting for them. When he saw Harry, he hurried over to greet him with a disgruntled look.

"Harry, what took you so long? Everyone was waiting in the locker room for you!"

"I didn't sleep well last night, and I woke up a little late today…" Harry didn't explain much about the unhappy events that had transpired, merely replying casually before turning to Ivan and the others.

"I'll get ready then. See you later!"

Yvonne nodded, and Ron said encouragingly, "Go on, Harry, I'm sure you'll catch the Golden Snitch as fast as you can!"

"Of course, Harry is the best Seeker at Hogwarts, I never doubted that!" Wood said with a smile, then turned to Ivan.

"Hales, have you really decided not to play this year's Quidditch?"

"I've told you many times, haven't I? I've been so busy this year that I haven't had time to practise, and the Gryffindor team is full, isn't it?" Ivan shook his head in exasperation.

"You're going to miss this year's trophy!" Wood said teasingly, disappointment in his eyes.

Ivan was the best Chaser he had ever seen, having even broken the Quidditch scoring record against the Slytherins!

If Ivan was willing to play, Gryffindor would definitely win this year!

However, Wood quickly composed himself. He had high hopes for the team he had trained. Even without Ivan, winning this year would not be a problem!

"Harry, let's go, the game's about to start!" said Wood, taking Harry by the arm and steering him into the lounge.

Ivan and the others found a spot in the stands where they could sit down and watch the game.

Hermione looked around, but no one was looking, so she leaned forward and whispered, "Ivan, where were you yesterday? We couldn't find you, not even after dinner…"

It is not difficult for the protagonist to expose Peter, but they cannot do so now, at least not in public, otherwise the Ministry of Magic will probably take Peter into custody and find a reason to kill him to cover up their mistake.
