Chapter 335 - So How Did He Die?

As Dagget narrated, Alicia listened with a complicated expression.

Ivan, remembering the last time he met Dean Bohan, couldn't help but ask.

"Didn't you ever try to explain it to Dean Bohan? He seemed to have a terrible misunderstanding of you!"

"Misunderstanding? There was never any misunderstanding. We had nothing to do with each other since he disowned me from the Bohan family." Douget sneered, his expression one of pure fury.

Ivan opened his mouth, but no words came out. The conflict between father and son was not something that could be resolved by clearing up misunderstandings…

Dagget panted for a long time before calming down.

Ivan waited for him to calm down, then offered an apology.

"I'm sorry, Dean Dougett. I was a bit extreme before. I hope you'll forgive me for my extreme actions."

After listening to Daugat's account of the incident, Ivan combined information he had gleaned from Dean Bohan and concluded that Daugat could not possibly be lying.

This was because Dean Bohan had personally told him that Doggett had not killed anyone after taking St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, but had simply imprisoned all the rebels.

This proves that Doggett did indeed restrain the Death Eaters! After all, the Dark Lord's men suffered heavy casualties during the previous attacks, and there is no reason why he should not carry out a vengeful massacre…

"I understand! Your father died at the hands of a Death Eater, and it's not unusual for him to do something drastic when he finds out who I am…" Doggett closed his eyes and shook his head, indicating that he did not care.

What's more, Ivan mentioned that Bohan was the one who leaked the information about him, which Doggett believed must have been his father deliberately trying to annoy him because he couldn't stand seeing him living comfortably in Knockturn Alley…

Yvonne saw that Doggett seemed to have misunderstood, but did not attempt to explain.

From Dougett's words, Ivan gleaned an important piece of information: the Death Eaters had killed his father!

Ivan looked at Alicia and saw that she was silent and did not argue.

Wasn't Dumbledore involved in her father's death?

Yvonne frowned, confused.

He had always believed that Alicia hated Dumbledore for killing his father by mistake, but things did not seem to be as he had suspected.

Doggett dusted himself off and got to his feet. He did not want to talk about unpleasant things, so he changed the subject.

"Well, I think I've said all I have to say. We've got more important things on our mind, and now that you know that old Burke was behind the attack, you can't just let it go…"

"Of course!" Ivan snapped out of his daze and nodded. He wasn't going to let Burke off the hook so easily.

"When I arrived, I saw that Borgin and Burkes was still open. We could have done the opposite and attacked there! If the Burkes owner hadn't already heard and fled!"

Ivan didn't think Burke was likely to leave so soon after the black-robed wizard's attack.

Even if Burke had placed a scout near the shop, they would only have seen the black-robed wizards break into the shop shortly after he and Alicia got home, and the shop would have been destroyed in the ensuing battle.

Then, another thirteen-year-old wizard rushed in and anxiously came out with "Athia's" corpse!

Those who saw this scene would probably think that Acia had perished along with the black-robed wizards they had sent, and that only the imp was still alive…

At most, they would wonder if this brat had a similar-looking twin brother, or if they were seeing things.

After all, his and Hermione's subsequent actions were carried out under the Invisibility Cloak and were not seen by anyone else.

If Burke had received such a message, he would have been celebrating. If he attacked now, he would be caught off guard.

"That's a bit rushed, isn't it? We're short-staffed, and if we had a few more days, I could get some friends I could trust to help. And fighting a shop owner in a Dark Arts shop isn't exactly a smart move…" Douget frowned and tried to argue.

Ivan shook his head. "No! They've just lost a lot of men, and they're at their weakest. In a few days, Burke will either have escaped or will be ready to fight."

Ivan also left out the fact that his stay was limited. As long as Burke was alive, he would not return in peace.

It would be best if he could capture all the enemies while he was still here!

With that in mind, Ivan turned to Alicia. "Mom… does Borgin's Burke store have anti-Shift magic?"

"Yes!" said Alicia, nodding.

"Then we don't have to worry about Burke getting away in the middle of the battle…" Ivan said, relieved. His worst fear was that he would not be able to keep Burke, and if he did, it would be extremely difficult to catch him again.

Doggett was still worried that the trio's raid on Borgin and Burkes was too risky.

After a moment's thought, Isiah said, "As for manpower, Ivan, weren't you friends with a group of werewolves in Knockturn Alley? They should be able to help!"

'The group of werewolves?'

Yvonne hesitated. She hadn't forgotten that Tom, the landlord of the Leaky Cauldron, had told her about the battle at Borgin and Burkes that had killed many Dark Wizards, some of them werewolves!

This meant that if he sent the werewolf wizards into battle, some of them would most likely die there!

Isiah was surprised at Ivan's hesitation; she knew that werewolf wizards could be trusted.

However, Acia did not comment. She knew that Yvonne had travelled back to the present through the Time-Turner and knew many things that she did not.

At the same time, she was deeply moved by Ivan's growth, as the child who had unknowingly become so dependent on her in his memories was now stronger than she had ever expected and had his own ideas and considerations.

After much hesitation, Ivan finally made up his mind to find the werewolves!

From Tom, the landlord of the Leaky Cauldron, Ivan could tell that the scale of the battle was not small, and that the three of them, no matter how strong they were, would not be able to handle everything. They would indeed need some reliable help.

Ivan, however, would explain the dangers to Fran and the others, leaving them to choose whether or not to help.
