Chapter 268 - The Vanished Werewolf Wizard

Ivan thought of the magical object that could reverse time and space, despite the limitations of the Time-Turner, and the fact that it could not be changed.

But with the right calculations, there should be a chance to reverse this…

That is, if he could find out who was behind it and what was going on.

With renewed hope, Ivan regains his spirits and begins to clean up the mess in the Dark Arts shop with the Dust-Removal Charm.

Under the influence of magic, dust and some irreparable wood frames were swept into a corner, and the blood on the ground was collected.

The only things that didn't move were the bodies of the intruders. Ivan took a few steps closer to inspect them, but they were all unfamiliar faces, and there was nothing on them to identify them.

After memorizing their faces, Ivan went back to the black-robed wizard, grabbed his head, and looked at him.

He's dead, too!

Ivan sighed. If this black-robed wizard hadn't died, he might have been able to extract some information from him, as well as information about who was behind this.

Unfortunately, for the first time, his Basilisk eyes had the effect of dying straight away…

Ivan guessed that the power of the snake's eye was most likely due to his own emotional turmoil, and that the more murderous one was, the more effective a straight death would be, but also the more likely one would lose control…

Ivan was mildly irritated at the loss of an important source, but that did not mean there was nothing else he could do.

Ivan reached out and pulled a lock of the black-robed wizard's hair, then paused as an idea occurred to him. He took a strand of Alicia's hair.

Ivan then proceeded to dispose of the bodies of the intruders, sealing them up and throwing them into a compartment.

As for Alicia's body, Ivan used a Transfiguration Charm to create a coffin and place it inside.

Ivan had mixed feelings as he walked down to the basement with the coffin. He remembered learning how to make magical objects from Alicia during the summer holidays last term.

With that in mind, Ivan turned to look at the workstation and saw a large number of magical props, all of which seemed to be for sale on the counter.

Did Alicia anticipate an attack?

The thought flashed through Ivan's mind, and he let it go. He sealed Alicia's coffin in a secret place underground and sealed the entire basement!

With that done, Ivan left the Dark Arts shop.

It was dangerous enough after the attack, and he had no interest in being a target, and he needed to find help to carry out his plan…

Like those werewolf wizards.

However, when they arrived at the werewolf settlement in the rubble-strewn east wing, Ivan realised that things were worse than he thought.

There was no one there. There was a large pot in the corner cooking food, and there were also some cutlery scattered around.

Ivan did not look happy, he muttered to himself.

"Who in the world could have pulled all the werewolves out of here, or killed them?"

He had ordered Flun and Walker to contact Alicia only unilaterally, and to report to him by letter if any action was taken. It was unlikely that Doggett would mobilize them.

Two days later, in an abandoned house somewhere in Knockturn Alley, Ivan was concentrating on brewing a pot of Polyjuice Potion.

Suddenly Ivan stopped what he was doing and looked straight ahead.

A small, ugly house-elf appeared, clutching a stack of potion books.

"Sir, the book you need…" Dobby carefully placed the book on the table.

Dobby then looked at Ivan, wanting to say something, but stopped himself. He could sense that Ivan was in a bad mood and wanted to ask questions to help his new master.

However, looking at Ivan's dark expression, Dobby did not have the courage to speak…

"What happened to the location you were told to watch?" Ivan asked stiffly, turning back to his Polyjuice Potion.

"All clear, sir! No sign of suspicious personnel," Dobby reported.

Ivan nodded, somewhat disappointed.

Logically speaking, since the black-robed wizards who attacked the Dark Arts shop were all wiped out and there was no news of them, the mastermind should have sent scouts to check on the situation.

With that in mind, he sent Dobby there to keep watch.

If they were able to catch the other party's investigators, they would be able to trace the attack and find out who was behind it.

Unfortunately, they were more cautious than he had anticipated, or perhaps they had already been here before he sent Dobby to spy on them.

Ivan frowned, having lost another lead, and then relived the events of two days earlier.

In his anger, Ivan was certain that Doggett knew something, perhaps even was involved…

Yvonne didn't know exactly where the bastard was, but she would find someone who did!

"Dobby, get ready. Take me to St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries." Ivan covered up the cauldron that was brewing the potion.

If he did not find out where Dougett was this time, Ivan would have to risk using Polyjuice Potion to disguise himself as one of the dead black-robed wizards, or even Alicia, and go to the Leaky Cauldron to lure out the perpetrators and their pursuers.

This is why he sealed off the information and disposed of the bodies one by one…

"Yes, sir! Dobby can take you anytime! The old master used to take Dobby there!" Dobby promised, thumping his chest.

In the evening, at St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, the space in the corner of the President's office seemed to have been torn apart.

In the blink of an eye, a large and a small figure appeared out of thin air.

Yvonne looked around. It was a large office, divided into two areas, the main hall for receiving guests, and a desk full of papers and files.

The walls were decorated with medals and banners, as well as a Merlin medal.

"This is…" Ivan walked all the way to his desk and picked up a photo frame in the corner.

In the middle of the picture was a young, brown-haired wizard in his twenties with a broad smile.

Yvonne had once seen a picture of him as a young man on the wall of Doggart's house.

A middle-aged wizard and a middle-aged witch, presumably Dean Bohan and his wife, stood on either side of the young Doggart…

(P.S.: The last chapter was a little too much. Let's just say that angels don't have hipsterism. Reversal isn't a system task. The plot can be fixed, and the main character isn't upstairs in the Dougert House.)
