Chapter 169 - Look! Aren't They Here Now?

In Knockturn Alley, outside the Dark Arts shop, Ivan, who was carrying his luggage, waited for a long time at the door. When he did not see Alicia come out, he shouted.

"Mom… come on, there's not much time until the train starts, and we have to make time for the Knight Bus."

Just as Ivan was wondering if he should go first, Alicia arrived late, having changed her clothes.

After closing the shop with a wave of her wand, Alicia pinched Ivan's cheek.

"What's the hurry? Wouldn't it be better if we didn't take that Knight Bus?"

So how do we get there?

While Ivan was lost in his thoughts, he was grabbed by the arm by Alicia, and then there was a spatial shift.

When Ivan recovered, he found himself on the corner of the street not far from King's Cross Station.

"Look! There's plenty of time now, isn't there?" said Alicia, ruffling Ivan's hair.

"It's too dangerous. What if the Muggles find out?" Ivan asked, exasperated.

Adult wizards were not subject to the same restrictions as young wizards, but they would be punished by the Ministry of Magic if they were seen by a large number of Muggles and their existence was exposed.

It was for this reason that he was only able to teleport to a nearby back alley when Dougett took him to the Ministry of Magic.

"Well, nobody noticed, did they?" said Alicia nonchalantly, but then she frowned and looked sharply behind her.

At the corner of the street, a middle-aged man in a suit and leather shoes was chewing on a piece of bread. He was standing there in a daze. It was obvious that he had seen the two of them appear out of thin air.

When he saw Isiah and Ivan looking at him, the middle-aged man looked horrified. He dropped the bread in his mouth, let out a piercing scream, and ran away.

But before he could move, a magical light appeared.

"I forgot everything!"

The middle-aged man fell to the ground at Alicia's command.

"Done. Let's go!" Alicia put her wand away and headed for King's Cross Station before the screams attracted more Muggles.

Yvonne turned to see that the unfortunate Muggle was back on his feet, looking dazed, perhaps having forgotten why he was there.

Yvonne observed a moment of silence for him, hoping he would not be late today.

When they arrived at the bus stop, Alicia gave them a lot of advice, telling them to be careful and eat regularly at school, and to always send letters back!

"Okay, okay, I got it… Mom!" Ivan interrupted, his ears starting to get calluses.

Ivan hesitated, then continued.

"By the way, Mom, the werewolf wizards in the East Side Ruins promised to help me gather information about the Knockturn Alley. If you have any trouble, you can ask them for help…"

Ivan hadn't kept his contact with the werewolves from Alicia, having already told her most of it.

After all, Doggett knew about it.

In order to prevent this fellow from using his name to fool the werewolves into causing trouble in Knockturn Alley, Ivan had to involve Ethia to keep her in check.

Before leaving, Ivan specifically advised Fran and Walker that they should either write to him or contact Alicia…

"Sure! I'll keep an eye on them for you." Alicia smiled and nodded.

Ivan then left Alicia dragging his suitcase and rushed onto Platform Nine and Three-quarters.

After Ivan left, Alicia sighed, finding herself increasingly unable to read her children's minds.

As she hesitated, she recalled what Dougett had said to her the other day, and was initially reluctant to believe it, even suspecting that he was imagining things.

However, Ivan's interest in the group of werewolf wizards caused Alicia to hesitate.

"Forget it, let's find out who these werewolves are first. If they're really as innocent as the introduction says…" Alicia muttered to herself.

Ivan passed through the station and turned to look at the tunnel behind him.

He wondered if Dobby would seal off the passageway and keep Harry and Ron out if he took the Horcrux diary.

With that in mind, Ivan placed the luggage on top of the train's trunk, then boarded the train and sat down in a relatively empty compartment.

Whine…

Before long, the Redskins were moving slowly, steam pouring out of the chimney, gathering and disappearing in the wind…

With nothing better to do, Ivan opened the Horcrux Diary and went back to his studies, hoping, of course, to get information out of Tom about the merging of their blood.

Ivan wondered if he should simply threaten Tom with fire, but decided against it.

Not only would this cause his relationship with Tom, which he had worked so hard to establish, to break down and lose a useful learning accelerator, but the Dark Lord was not to be trifled with.

Not to mention that Tom had always been good at sweet-talking since he was a child. He rarely spoke the truth, and the information on Bloodline Origin was different from his usual studies. If he made a mistake, Tom would deduct his GPA to confirm the truth.

All Tom had to do was get some half-truths to speed up the mission, and he would have wasted a lot of time.

Yvonne was wracking her brains trying to think of something to say to Tom when the carriage door was pushed open.

"Ivan, why are you here alone? Where are Harry and Ron?" Hermione asked curiously as she hurried in and took the seat opposite him.

"I don't know, maybe she hasn't got on yet?" Yvonne said, keeping the diary low so Hermione wouldn't see it.

"What?" Hermione was shocked, then panicked. How were Harry and Ron going to get to school if they missed the train?

"Don't worry, I'm sure they'll find a way…" Ivan said reassuringly, then pointed out of the window as if he had seen something.

"Look! Aren't they here now?"

Hermione turned her head in confusion and then froze.

Far above, a turquoise Muggle car flashed in and out of the clouds.

A moment later, as if something had gone wrong, the car plummeted from a great height, spinning through the air as it charged towards the Hogwarts train…
