Everyone seemed to be having a jolly good time though. Everything around looked and smelled expensive. Anyone not really well to do, would have a hard time fitting into the place.
When Marissa was sure the time was right, she went over to him. He looked incredibly handsome. Just as always. She hugged him from behind and he smiled widely.
"Birthday boy, I need to see you for a moment." she said quietly. Aaron, Lexi, Rachel, Chris and Anna were all standing close by chatting away with glasses of wine in their hands. They all gave her a knowing look and tried to hide their smiles.
Everyone except Aaron. He just sipped his drink and looked away. Marissa didn't pay much attention to him. He had already given her his car keys because the gifts were being kept in his car.
