"Wait, what?" I asked, confused as I tried to get familiar with the environment I found myself in. "Where am I? Why must you be at my service, and what's with this overseer stuff?"
"You ask a lot of questions," Kondrel said as he snapped his metallic finger. Soon, the place where I stood and beyond were illuminated by light. I could see Kondrel more clearly. He was a bit tall for a robot and surprisingly wore clothes like a human being, a suit, something quite official. "You don't really know, my Lord?"
"Don't call me that," I said, making a disgusted face. "It's creepy, and yes, I don't know much or even where I am."
"Then, first things first," he said as his eyes brightened in curiosity. "How should I address you?"
"I'm Femi," I said as I stretched out my hand to shake his. "You can call me Femi."
"Not accepted," Kondrel replied as he moved forward, entering my personal space. I moved back a little. "I can't call you by your name. It's disrespectful to do that to your Master."
"Hmm," I smiled nervously, pushing him back as he was too close. "You can call me 'Master' or whatever."
"Master it is," he said in agreement. "Welcome to the Overseer's library. As for why you are here, you are the next Overseer, as it's the heritage you received from the last Overseer. Do you understand now?"
"That's how it is," I said, realizing the situation I found myself in. "I heard in the news that the Overseer is being hunted down by all the countries in the world, and here I am, ignorant of the fact that I'm being hunted. Wait, are you really sure I'm the Overseer of...."
"Space and Time," Kondrel completed my sentence.
"Yes," I said in agreement as I held my head with my right hand. "Space and time. Oh, that's a big one."
"You doubt?" Kondrel asked, surprised. "You are the Overseer of Space and Time."
"Trust me, I'm not."
"Should we check your status with our perfect grade appraisal?" Kondrel said, showing the path to the perfect grade appraisal gadget.
"Sure," I replied, following his lead. "Wait, did you say 'perfect grade'?"
"Of course," he smiled. I was shocked to see him do that. We passed through rows of books. This place is really a library like he said. "It's one of a kind. We are almost there."
"I continued with him, and he took me to a small gadget of some sort. It had a small orb of glass on top and a black rectangular base beneath.
"Put your hand over there," he pointed at the orb of glass.
"Okay," I said as I placed my hand on the orb.
"Analysis complete," Kondrel announced as he displayed my status.
"Wow, fast," I complimented as I checked my status.

Comment: How did you become so overpowered in a short time? Still not strong enough.)
"Is this true?" I asked, blinking my eyes several times.
"Of course," Kondrel answered with a bow.
"Oh my," I said, staggering for a bit. "I need water."
"Here you are, master," Kondrel said as a glass of water materialized out of nowhere and was served to me, which I drank quickly.
"With this," I said, giving the glass back to Kondrel. "I fear tons of people will be after me. What a pain!"
"You shouldn't be afraid of them, Master," Kondrel replied, trying to change my pessimism. "You are certainly the strongest in this world."
"I'm not sure about that," I said, shaking my head. "That comment said I'm not strong enough. I need to work harder if I really want to be the strongest. What else is here apart from books?"
"We have lots of weapons too," Kondrel answered as he led the way again. We came into a room full of weapons of different kinds. Kinds that could cause unfathomable damage. I turned to the section of guns as I checked them out.
"Wow!" I exclaimed on seeing a bright handgun. "It looks like a perfect grade weapon."
"It's legendary," Kondrel corrected me as he picked it up.
"I guess..." I said, blindly before pausing. "Did I hear right? Legendary grade. That's so dope. Wait, did you say 'legendary'?"
"Hun huh," He nodded as he drew his metallic hand near me with the gun resting on his hands. I backed out immediately. I'm not sure I'm worthy to hold that kind of weapon. Seeing my reaction, he placed the gun back in its place.
"Some people would kill for this moment," I thought as I checked other guns in the armory.
"Of course, you are the owner of them all," Kondrel added as he saw my excitement and inquisitiveness.
"Wait, did I hear that right?" I asked, gaping.
"Of course, it's also part of your heritage," Kondrel said as he led the way again. "Let's see more weapons."
We saw many more weapons in which some were so cool and some were ominous. The tour was exciting.
"How did you get all these?" I asked, completely baffled seeing all these weapons available here.
"Those are the past Overseer's doings," Kondrel explained. I'd say they had a hobby of collecting only the best.
"What else is here?" I asked.
"Well," He began his explanation."We have rooms in which different gadgets, artifacts, and machines are kept to be used, and lastly, we have the treasury."
"Money!" My eyes sparkled.
"Yes," He had a weird chuckle. "We have money. All in gold."
"Gold..." I gulped my saliva. "I feel dizzy. Can I leave now?"
"Aren't you going to take anything with you, Master?" Kondrel asked. His voice sounded displeased.
"I'm not sure," I said hesitating. It would be dangerous to stand out with those types of guns from the armory, but that's what came to my mind. "Maybe a handgun, the lowest class."
"Ok," He smiled, happy at my decision as he pointed to a dais down the hall. "Stand in front of the dais and ask for what you want with a true heart."
"True heart?" I asked.
"Yeah," He continued. "Your heart is probed and checked for any ill intention. If none is found, what you desire will be given to you."
"Ok," I said walking towards the dais. I got there and stretched out my hand with the image of a gun in my mind. After a few seconds, a gun landed on my hand.
"It's the lowest grade we have," Kondrel said, bringing some magazines.
"That's cool," I grinned in satisfaction as I took the contents from his hand and placed it in my watch. "I'll take it. So, how will I be able to contact you?"
"Oh about that," Kondrel said, putting a hand on his forehead. "I'm already engraved in your mind. Call me when you need me."
"Okaayiiii..." I replied, completely confused at his reply. "How do I go back?"
"You are the Overseer of space and time," He reminded me of my capabilities. "Why ask me that."
"Yeah, right," I said awkwardly rubbing my hands together. "Let's do this."
Think, I cogitated. Think about going back to my dorm room. Soon, I appeared back in my room.
"Wow!" I exclaimed as I removed the ring from my hand. "It worked! I did it! This is wonderful. It's not a dream; it really is real."
I placed the ring in my watch and had a quick look at my room. Everything was the same as I left, and nothing was amiss.
"I need to be careful," I pondered within myself. A word of my strength would bring much chaos to me and those around me.
Suddenly I heard a knock on my door, which made me snap out of my thoughts immediately.
I took my light dagger with me. If anyone plans anything dangerous, the school will be notified.
"Who's there?" I asked, walking towards the door.
"It's Kwami," A familiar voice came from behind the door. "Open up."
"Oh right," I said as I unlocked the door.
"What happened?" Kwami asked as he entered. "I was here half an hour ago, but you didn't reply. I believe you went out or something."
"Yeah," I said in agreement as we both took our seats. "I had to clear my head for a while."
"What are you going to do?" Kwami asked, stating the reason why he was here. "I did warn you about the first place, and we have many problems on our hands already."
"It's that bad, huh?" I replied, sighing.
"It is," Kwami answered as he continued. "I hear the A class is in an uproar and is searching for whoever Femi is. We even have more sightseers in our class than ever. Some are even planning to have a duel with you."
"Trouble," I said quickly.
"Right!" Kwami added before sounding serious. "Will you accept those duels?"
"No," I answered firmly. "There's no need to prove my worth to people who haven't found theirs."
"That's one way to put it," Kwami said, sounding a bit surprised. "What are you going to do for the rest of the day?"
"Have a nice sleep and prepare for trouble tomorrow," I replied while stretching my body. "Oh, and if you don't mind, can you bring my dinner here? I hear it's now possible to do so."
"It's possible," Kwami said, standing up. "It's just under some conditions, and yours doesn't fulfill the requirements."
"Ahh," I made a small sound in realization.
"Later then," Kwami said as he left, closing the door silently.
I need rest, I thought as I laid on my bed. Technically, I can stay away from food for longer periods, which is wonderful, but I really wanted to sleep.
Soon, I drifted off, and tomorrow came. At early hours, I was ready for class. Informing Kofi through the chat message on my watch that I won't wait for them, I went to my class.
'I should be the first person here here," I said quietly as I closed the door behind me. Turning back, I jolted as I saw a familiar figure behind me.
"Oh, you scared me," I said, creating a little distance. "What are you doing here so early, Ife?"
"I should ask you the same," Ife replied. "Besides, you have changed."
"What do you mean?" I asked, putting my guard up.
"I can't really put a finger on it, but something has definitely changed," she answered with a curious expression.
"Oh right," I said as I had thought about what to say. Since it will be known that I awakened, it's best to tell it now. "I awakened."
"Really?" She exclaimed in excitement. One could see her eyes filled with happiness.
"Yeahhh," I replied, not knowing what to say or feel. Did she always have deep concerns for me? "I'm a F ranker now."
"Congratulations," she smiled, shaking my hand.
"I didn't know you took my case so seriously," I said, completely amused at what had unfolded.
"A leader should care for her colleagues, right?" She replied, countering me.
"Right," I said removing my hand from hers. "That reminds me, I heard you were following me. Is that true?"
"Wow, so blunt," She answered as I couldn't read her expression. I didn't find any case of obsession or whatsoever. Maybe it's just Annika's imagination.
"Was I?" I asked again, placing a hand on the back of my head. "Anyways, why were you following my every move? Do you perhaps want to inform me about something important?"
"Well l..," She started, her eyes wandering off. "I felt we started on the wrong foot when we met, so I was thinking we should start over as friends or something."
"Ahh, I see," I said, completely understanding her point. "I'm Femi."
"I'm Ife," She beamed as she introduced herself. "It's interesting how the meaning of our names is related."
"Yeah."
"Ohh," Ife said as she checked her watch. "It's almost time for class. Congratulations once again."
"Thanks."
"Ahh!" She said as she clicked her fingers. "I know why
you are here so early."
"Well," I shrugged as I went to my seat. "It's not easy being the center of attention."
"I really look forward to your duels," she replied as she went to her seat as well.
Soon, my classmates came in. As soon as they saw me, they all rushed to meet me, circling around me and blocking my view from the rest of the class as they tried to speak to me.
"Hello, my name is Dumebi," one said.
"You should know me," another would say. "We grew up together."
"Do you want a girlfriend?"
"Can we be friends?"
"Study partners!"
In the midst of the chaos, the hall became silent suddenly as a figure walked in. The one known as the forbidden damsel. Everyone immediately left me with their faces downward.
"You," she pointed at me. "Follow me."

In an office, two people were sitting opposite each other. One was sipping tea while the other was reading a document.
"What a twist of change is it, Gladys," Nicholas said as he placed his white cup on the table.
"What's the problem, Nicholas?" Gladys asked, looking sharply at him. "Last I know, you are a busy man."
"Am I that predictable," Nicholas chuckled before sounding serious. "It's about that kid you dote on. Before the mock exams, you accepted him. Why, if I may ask? Is he perhaps a genius or is there something else?"
"It's none of your business," Gladys said as she went back to reading the document in front of her.
"You are right," Nicholas replied, taking his cup. "Time will tell."
***
"What's this place?"
"Ah, I see this is your first time here, Nicholas."
"Yes, indeed. It's just like another dimension. Why am I here if I may ask?"
"It's just a question. Why are you so concerned about finding out who Femi really is?"
"To be honest, I'm an undercover agent from the Hero Organization. Let's just say we maintain the balance between each country. So I'm to report any unexpected changes or strange sightings in the academy. Seeing the huntress take in a student tells me that there's something unique about the kid. Something that could change the world."
"Isn't it normal for her to take in disciples?"
"It's normal, but for her, it isn't. The huntress clearly said she'll never take in a disciple, to the point that she nearly destroyed a family because of that. Seeing her with that kid raises my curiosity. What's so special about him?"
"That's for you to find out."
"Exactly. I won't stop until I do."
"Thanks for your time."
