I changed my clothes and rushed out to meet my group waiting for me.
" I'm sorry", I said panting for a while. "I am a bit late".
"Yeah", Aluna replied. "We waited for a while but we are set to go now right?"
"Yeah"
"You betcha"
We went around jisting and talking trash but low-key we were getting to know each other. We went along different paths, watching the stars and enjoying the view of our environment. Annika also brought fruits, candies and drinks to keep our mouth busy. Soon our time was up and we turned our legs back to the dorm.
"Our mock exams are close now huh", Kwami mused. His eyes were looking straight in the sky while walking.
"Yeah",Kofi replied with a keen voice. "Let's do our best".
"I have a suggestion", Kwami continued looking serious.
"What do you mean?", I asked curiously. We had stopped walking with the atmosphere already in a solemn mood.
"It's possible to use this short period to know our strength and weaknesses. We just have to find someone who will oversee us".
"Like an instructor?", Annika asked suggesting an idea.
"Something like that yeah. We could ask for an instructor as a group. Just to correct us in whatever mistakes we made while training"
"Hmm", I said while thinking about what Kwami inferred. "I get your point We don't know what the mock exams will be all about so we should be prepared. I can also handle the theory section while an instructor of our choosing will handle our training section. How about it?".
"I concur", Kwami agreed smiling. "It's good this way. We just have to work hard".
"Any chance we can get past questions for last year?", I asked thinking it would be like my school in my former world.
"Not a chance", Kofi said shaking his head. I hear the lips of second years are tightly sealed. It's part of the school rules".
"Anyways guys", Annika replied with a low voice. "Let's get going or we are going to be late to our dorms".
"You are right"
We resumed our walking and escorted the girls to their dorm before heading to ours. Bidding ourselves good night,we went to our respective rooms. I didn't sleep early and that's because I was trying to think of ways to ask them of my request. My request to explore a F rank dungeon in order to find an awakening potion. I don't want them to come with me because of pity. I want them to come with me because they are my comrades or..... friends if you can say.
"It's simple", I said after being quiet for a while. "I just need to bond with them the more and ask on the eve to our mock. Oh,I need to plan my words right".
With that,I picked my pen and began scribbling words down in my book.

In a room filled with flowers and different painting on the wall,a woman sat by the bed. She was effortlessly taking care of a boy who was laid on the bed.
"The Pira flowers are know for speed up healing and relaxing one's nerves James", she said patting his head. "Just keep on resting till your wounds are completely healed".
"Yes mother",James replied as he winked his eye. "Besides I'm okay".
"Are you though"
"I'm fine"
"I heard what happened",She continued with a sad eye. "It must have been awful right?"
"Hmm", James sighed as he shut his eyes.
"You are safe now", Mrs Lance said holding his hand.
"I was weak mother",James replied with a drizzled voice. "I couldn't save Matilda. She sacrificed herself for me and she almost died mum. If she died then...."
"She didn't that's period",She said cutting him off. "In my view, instead of whining in regret and pain, channel that energy to correct your mistakes and become more stronger inorder to protect those you love and care about. Only in that would you have learnt your lesson. Also your mock is around the corner and I can't have you like this. Don't you want to take the first place?"
"I do mother".
"Good", She smiled before patting his hair again. "Now stop sulking and rest. When you get better, I will train you personally".
"Can't I ask for another person?"
"No",Mrs Lance smiled again. "Oh, Your friends asked after you. They are all concerned".
"Ohh"
"Now,She said standing up. "No need to get any emotional. It's time for you to ....SLEEP".
Soon enough James fell asleep and silence descended on the room.

"Anyways, it's a scary sight. It's a world where only the strong are recognized. Survival of the fittest if you asked me. It's scary at first but with good friends and comrades, it's a wonderful place.
