Mauve's eyes widened at the realization. Was she going to bear a vampire's child? Jael's child. Was that possible?
She had never heard or seen a human bear a vampire's child before but Lady Marceline had spoken about it so casually as though it was a regular occurrence.
She touched her stomach, she doubted it though. She didn't know anything about pregnancy but she was sure if she was she would know by now.
She covered her face. She would definitely love to carry Jael's child but would she be a good mother?
She could do the basics but taking care of a baby was completely different from doing chores.
"Oh," she palmed her face again but this time around it was hard enough to hurt.
"Aw!" She groaned.
She shook her head, she shouldn't think about this and she should go back to work.
