Mauve adjusted in bed as she got comfortable. The pain in her abdomen didn't feel any better but at least she was full. It was best to not handle this on an empty stomach.
She groaned and rolled to her side. She was exceedingly annoyed that she had to stay in her room for three days straight and still was. This new situation didn't change how she felt.
The fact that she couldn't even go to the rooftop was a bit depleting. Especially as she had just planted some seeds and was excited to watch them grow.
Of course, they wouldn't begin to germinate immediately but she was content to just water the soil and sit in the open air. She could read a book, it definitely beats being stuck in here for three straight days. It sounded like torture.
She replayed the conversation with Jael and winced. Their relationship was strained these days, she figured the party preparation was taking a toll on him. He had not slept in her room for two days now.
