"How did the meeting go?" Sabrina asked as she walked into the room allocated to her parents. It was right next to hers, so as soon as they came back, she had gotten out of bed and headed for their room. Just because she wasn't in the meeting didn't mean she didn't want to know what had transpired.
"Sabrina," Lady Arora called as she walked into the room. She stood to greet her daughter.
Sabrina walked closer to the bed and looked at her father; he didn't even spare her a glance. "What happened, Mother?" Sabrina asked.
"Well, your father was rude to the Primus. I know we don't want a human as his mate, but dear," she turned to him, "don't you think that was a little too much? You could have angered the Primus."
Lord Garth didn't respond. Instead, he curled and uncurled his fists. He was still fuming. "A mere human," he mumbled.
Sabrina was a little shocked by the situation. "Well, we can't all pretend we didn't see this coming," she commented.
