"What are you doing?" She asked and looked up at him.
He smirked at her and using one hand he pulled open the huge doors. Mauve winced at the bright light, they weren't in the sun but the sun's glare was hot enough to make her eyes sting.
Jael didn't hesitate, he took a step forward and another step. Mauve gasped and closed her eyes.
Jael stopped walking and chuckled, "You won't see if you don't open your eyes. You're acting worse than a vampire who hasn't seen daylight in centuries."
"I am worried about you." She blurted out, still closing her eyes.
"I understand the sentiment but I am not some Paler that would dissipate under the sun. Now open them, else this will all be for not." Jael scolded.
Mauve slowly opened her eyes and immediately realized they were outside but they weren't standing directly under the sun. "Oh, you could have warned me."
