Kieran looked down at Mauve with a clearly worried expression on his face. His brows furrowed as he concentrated.
Mauve tried to keep her gaze on his face but her vision kept failing her, it didn't help that the room wasn't bright enough. She winced, the pain from the headache caused her to close her eyes.
"What do you suggest?" Jael asked.
"I don't know," Kieran said. "She already drank the herbs, she should be better. Getting a fever again barely a day later is very concerning."
Mauve listened to Kieran's voice. She could clearly hear his concern. Her shoulders shook again. The chills were so uncomfortable.
He walked closer to the bed and squatted, his face directly aligned with hers. He kept enough distance between them, not invading her personal space.
He stared hard, she wondered what he was looking for. He carefully placed the back of his palm on her forehead and Mauve shook.
