"Hi," Jael said with a grin as Mauve opened her eyes.
"Hi," she tried to say but yawned in his face. "Sorry," she whispered as she covered her mouth.
"Did you sleep well?" He asked.
She nodded and moved closer to him, her warm bloody seeking his cold one. "How about you? I think you left the bed at some point."
"You noticed?" He asked.
"I don't know," she said, yawning again. "It just felt like you left but you came back, I think so I am not so sure. Maybe, I was dreaming."
"No, you weren't," he replied. "I did leave."
Mauve's expression turned serious immediately. "Why?"
"I needed to talk to Louis and Danag," he replied as his eyes traced her face. Mauve noticed that his eyes lingered a little on her lips.
"About Vae?" She asked.
"Something like that," he whispered.
"Okay," she said and nodded.
"You're not going to ask me more questions?" He frowned.
