"That's why I am trying to be as expressive as I can, I don't want you to misunderstand what I mean."
"Oh," Mauve replied and nodded. She appreciated the effort but it also made her feel as though she wasn't doing anything.
Jael has done so much for her in such a short time but she hasn't done a single thing. It made her feel a little bit small.
"What are you thinking about now?" He asked with a piercing gaze.
She frowned, annoyed at how easily he could read her mood and instantly tell when something was wrong. Maybe if she was a vampire she would be able to read his mood as easily as he could read hers
"Nothing," she said and walked toward the bench.
"Mauve," he coaxed gently. "What did I just say about being expressive?" He asked and followed after her.
"Well, I am already an open book. If I tell you everything there would be nothing left for me. Sometimes I like to keep you guessing."
