"How is it? Can you stay here?" He asked gently, his eyes didn't hold the anger she saw a few seconds ago.
She nodded immediately, "I can…" she started to say but Louis interrupted her.
"You see, it's not that bad. If Mauve can take it, I am sure you can too," Louis smirked.
"If you find it unbearable, we can go elsewhere," Jael said, still looking down at her as he completely ignored Louis.
"It's not that bad, really but I don't know about you," she whispered. "Vampires have a stronger sense of smell, right?"
In another couple of minutes, her brain was bound to forget about it; she doubted that would be the case for Jael.
"Don't worry about me, I'll figure something out but you don't have to bear it simply because of that. I am sure they can find a good enough place for you to stay."
Was he suggesting that she left so the smell wouldn't bother her? The fact that he wasn't thinking about leaving meant he truly needed to stay in the cave.
