"It's embarrassing in itself that I have to stress this," Mauve said as she slowly watched Galath's countenance change.
"It was not my intention to embarrass you," he said as he stood to his feet. "I was merely hoping toβ¦"
"Speak some sense into me?" She asked.
Galath's gaze darkened, "That wasn't what I wanted to say."
"I know and I apologize for saying that but nothing you would say could possibly change my mind. It's too late now. I already married him and I'm not one to abandon my marriage simply because it suits me."
Galath started to speak but he must have seen the look on Mauve's face because he paused for a couple of seconds before he started to speak again.
"I understand and I am ashamed that I would even offer that you do that."
"It's okay. My food should be here soon, right?" She asked, changing the subject.
