"This way, we'll run into the obstacles together." Jael gently to her as held her in his arms.
"What? I thought you could see in the dark," she asked in horror.
"Hmm, yeah but there is a limit. This is very dark." He replied with a serious tone.
"Then don't just plunge in, wait for the light."
"Mauve," he called gently. "You've been in this room long enough, are you saying you couldn't make your way to the bed without the light?"
"I didn't say that," she replied and looked away from him.
Jael chuckled, "Don't worry, I can see enough to get you to the bed without falling."
"I wasn't worried," she blurted out.
"I didn't say you were, did I?"
She shook her head. The darkness was overwhelming and it was especially annoying that it didn't matter if her eyes were open or closed.
