Mauve opened her eyes to see Jael was out of bed. She sat up immediately and rubbed her eyes. The sheet slid down her chest exposing her nighties.
"Did I wake you up?" Jael said slowly, taking his pants off.
Mauve shook her head, she most likely woke up on her own considering what day today was. She was surprised she was able to get any sleep at all.
Jael was going with Lady Sabrina to Lord Garth's estate. She knew he intended to leave early and she wanted to see him off. Considering how late she had slept, she had been worried that she might not be able to wake up on time.
"You should go back to sleep, the sun hasn't even completely set yet," Jael replied with his back to her as he approached the bath.
"I don't think I will be able to fall asleep again," Mauve replied with a stretch.
"You should, you didn't sleep until past noon," Jael said as he stepped into the water.
"Well, it's not my fault I couldn't sleep early, you're leaving today."
