Mauve groaned as she was gently lifted off the bed but she still didn't wake up as Jael carried her in his arms and walked across the room to where the tub lay.
He carefully lowered her into it and as soon as her body touched the warm water, her eyes flew open and she panicked, kicking her legs about.
"Don't panic, it's just warm water." He whispered
Her legs stopped and the look of confusion cleared from her face. "Why didn't you wake me?" She mumbled. "That was terrifying, I thought I was drowning." She gasped, grabbing the sides of the bath as she fell deeper into the tub.
"I did," Jael said and slowly let go of her. "However, no matter what I did you didn't wake up. I figured I'd bathe you while you were still sleeping, I didn't expect you to react like that."
He brushed the hair from her face as he stared at her with a concerned expression.
