"There is a glow to your skin and every time I look directly at your face, you blush," Mill said with a smile on her lips.
"I do not!" Mauve said adamantly, her voice tense.
"You do," Mill said and bent so she and Mauve were eyes level.
Mauve immediately turned away from her, her cheeks red as a tomato. If didn't she didn't what had happened, Mill could not think of a more obvious indicator. Well, that was aside from the red mark on her neck.
"See!" Mill said with a chuckle.
"There is nothing to see," Mauve said, her eyes glued to the wall.
She was trying to Mauve at ease but she could see that she was only embarrassing her further. She stood to her feet and resumed brushing her hair.
It was a good thing she had thought to keep the rest of the love marks to herself. It wasn't usual but this was the first time there was any in the open and as bright as this.
"Did you ask him about leaving?" She asked, trying to change the topic.
