"Are you sure?" His voice sounded like he did not believe her.
"Yeah," she replied and buried her face on the side of his body.
"How does your arm feel?" He asked.
"Much better, thank you. Jean said he would take the bandage off by evening." She added.
"That's good to hear," he said, absentmindedly as he played with her hair.
"You know," she started slowly while tracing her fingers on his skin.
She could feel her heart pick up slightly. She has never brought up leaving for the castle with Jael before as she didn't think she could leave any time soon.
Even though she did not know how he would react to this question she could already feel herself getting anxious. It was a simple question, she couldn't comprehend what she was so nervous about.
"Jean said I should be able to travel back to the castle in a few days," Mauve said and Jael's hand on her hair froze.
