Mauve opened her eyes to a somewhat bright room. The candles were turned off and the curtains were open. She could see it was almost sunrise.
The physician was asleep on the floor a couple of feet away from her. Nothing else was out of place. She didn't even realize what she was doing until she got out of bed.
She landed without incident, she staggered s little but she quickly held the edge of the end for support. She winced as her right arm dragged down, the stitches stung a little.
She supported it with her other hand, holding it by the elbow. She took a step forward and was a little surprised when she didn't fall forward. She didn't feel particularly weak either but she knew there was no way she would be able to walk around.
She got in front of the door and frowned when she realized she would have to open the door by herself. She winced as she slowly let go of her hand.
