The moon looked bright as Mauve stood beside the huge rock but it didn't make any significant difference to her eyesight. Aside from the trees directly in front of her, she could really see anything.
She was beside the rock for only a couple of seconds but somehow it felt like minutes. She wanted to crunch low but she was worried about ants or worse. Considering she couldn't rely on her eyesight, it will be in her best interest not to move around.
