Part 1

Hnn....I stared in the darkness that lied beneath the cliff. A thought stuck my mind.

[How did I get here?]

As I was thinking about the answer for my question, I raised my head and looked at the Sky.

[Hmm....The sky is different today]

There was a big Red Moon shining bright in the sky. We don't get to see a red moon everyday now do we?

The most interesting fact was the sky. All I did was to stare at the blackish red sky.

All of a sudden, I saw some dots coming out of the moon.

[What.....is that?]

Many questions filled my heart. A weird sensation kicked in.

[What the hell]

The dots became bigger as they got closer. It was the point I was finally able to recognise it.

Beasts with different colours, covered in protective scales, equipped with large and powerfull wings and a big mouth with a spark in their throats.

I was sure that it was dragons.

[What the hell]

[What are dragons here?]

I was scared to death. A big hoard of dragons approached the hill, I was standing on.

[Why is my body not moving]

I had a lot of questions at that moment.

It was the moment that I was sure of death.

But something unexpected happened.

All this time, I was wondering how I got there and why my body was not moving.

Turns out, the answer was infront me all along.

[Wh...What?]

I had no control over my body.

My body was reacting on its own as if a different soul has taken over it.

I was fighting desperately for control. After all everyone values their lives. As time passed the dragons came even closer.

They started circling around me. Their throat started to shine.

My mind was going blank out of fear.

[Shit!!! Why can't I move??]

[Is this....How it ends?]

Deep in my heart, I lost all hopes of survival. Suddenly I pulled my hand out.

[What??]

The moment the dragons fired their breath, large heads came out of nowhere and absorbed all the attacks.

[How...!?]

All kinds of questions were forming in my mind. But then, I saw that all the dragons came at me all at once. I was caught off guard by their sudden action but once again my body reacted on its own and more heads came out of ground.

But this time....All of those heads devoured all the dragons.

The sight was so gruesome that it made me vomit but once again I was not in control.

[How the fuck is this happening]

[Where am I]

[Why can't I move my body]

Suddenly I heard a strange but familiar voice.

"Huh I thought I got rid of it"

[It was definitely my voice.]

[Did the one controlling one just talked to me??]

So many questions but not a single answer. My mind was stoned in fear. I was not able to think of anything beside a single thought.

[How...How did this happened]

Suddenly my body began to move. All I did was sit back and watch. I knew it was no use. I lost my body long ago.

I was still wondering about my situation.

[Hmm....This place feels familiar]

As my body walked straight, I saw the true meaning of horror.

The ground was split open. The sky was torn apart. Monsters were coming out of the ground and slaughtering everyone. The battle of gods was going on in the heavens and humans or we can say the remaining ones were struggling to survive.

This is something they would say The End Of The World.

The screams of innocent people filled my ears. The sky was red. The smell of blood reeked everywhere. People are running here and there but are getting killed anyway.

[What is the purpose of life?]

My mind was going crazy. It was too much for a 16 year old to see.

[Wait...How do I remember me being 16 year old?]

While thing my myself, I noticed something coming out of sky.

Another bright memory appeared.

[That....That's a nuclear bomb]

I sighed in my mind and thought that survival was really getting hard now. Suddenly My body once again, pulled the hand out.

[Don't tell me]

As the nuclear bomb touched the earth, everything turned to dust. I wasn't able to even react when my entire body was engulfed in flames. Everyone and everything around me disappear without a trace. All I could feel was AGONY. The never ending pain lasted what felt like an eternity. But after everything settled down. I saw...a new day.

There was a giant crater in the middle of the city. All the building that stood tall and high disappeared without a trace. It felt like a second ago the place was filled with chaos and now it's quiet. I looked around at the destruction it brought. The forest was completely obliterated.

All I saw....was pure destruction.

"Tch....Humans", said my body.

[Hmm....This guy seems to hate humans]

My body became moving forward.

Part 2

We walked and walked and walked. It felt like we have been walking till the end of time. We walked many cities, towns and villages but there was no sight of any life anywhere. It felt like we were alone in this universe. The thumping that came from the sky also stopped. I was curious about who won. But there was nothing I could do. I also retained a good amount of my memories. Let's just say...they were not peaceful. I have done some very terrible things in the past. So I guess this is my redemption.

Even though we don't find monsters that often but we do find monsters. I don't know why but my body seems to be consuming those monsters.

I also got to know that it was not a spirit who took my body but it was rather a being called .

It is said that they are pretty important beings that brought extinction to everything.

Apparently, the guide travels with humans as a status window as shown in video games and manhwas but their unique feature is Possession.

I came to know that if a battle is too hard for the human, then the guide makes an agreement with a human to win the battle.

The agreement is simple itself. A small portion of human's soul in exchange of victory.

Considering I lost my body completely indicates that I was far too weak in the past.

But once again I was wrong. If a guide manages to gain 51% control of the body then it can forcefully snatch the control of the body.

But I personally think that taking the full access is more convenient. I think that my guide forcefully took my body and hence I still exist. Even though I have no control over my body, I still exist.

My question is why did this happen?

What was the need for extinction.

Only one person can tell me about it.

I certainly don't know why but I gained a very useful power by which I can look though my guide's memories.

So I obviously took all the important information.

If we see the universe as a company office. We get to know that the Gods that we worship are shareholders of the company whereas the guides are workers. The guides work as per the god orders. But the main shareholder also known as The Boss Of the Business which in this case is the God Of Universe can directly order both the shareholders and the workers.

The workers obviously without a doubt carry out the missions of the main god and because of that one reason there is a continuous conflict between all the gods.

But it looks like this time they took it too far to the point the God Of Universe ended up killing all the other gods.

It was certainly hard to believe all this nonsense but after watching the events unfolding from my very eyes. I have to reconsider.

Oh I also forgot to tell that guides are more or less like humans aswell. You must be thinking...

[How the Fuc-]

Believe me this was my reaction aswell. Turns out this guy has a wife. Yes a wife, you heard it right. Not a crush, not a girlfriend, a literal wife. It also seems like he is hella pissed with god maybe because he killed her.

[Ye not my problem]

Anyways after travelling for 10 whole years without any break and devouring countless monsters, we are finally here.

Kasauli, It's a hill station in India which is very famous for sightseeing. This place is really beautiful. Anyway, the guide started to walk in somewhere.

[Where is he going now?]

After a bit of travelling, we finally reached our final destination.

[Holy Shi-]

This place was terrifying beautiful. A small plateau which is surrounded by mountains. The mountains are completely covered in ice but there is not a single spot of ice on the plains. The land is covered in green grass. It is the first time I have ever seen grass in my 10 years of wasteland expedition.

Then there were these floating rocks. Some weird words were written on them. They were floating in a circular motion and a blue aura was surrounding them.

[Seriously It feels like I am in a novel]

The guide went inside the portal and the next second we were infront of him.

[Don't tell me you were eating everything so that you can fight THIS guy]

The god was gigantic. I felt like my body was not even as big as his fingernail. He was sitting on his throne in a shrine. But the shrine was....outside the universe. The shrine was covered in galaxies just floating around.

The guide activated all the skills he got from the monsters and turned into a gigantic monster himself.

The only next thing I remember was....The god opened his eyes revealing his galaxy looking eyes and then within a second the guide was blown into pieces.

My eyes widened in disbelief.

[This guy....was defeated in a second and the god didn't even lifted a finger]

Everything looked so unreal.

Suddenly, my existence started to fade.

[Ah I forgot it was body]

[If he does, I die too]

[Oof my life was cut short]

As I was disappearing, I leaned against a wall and sat down.

I was thinking how my life was.

[Guess this is what happens when you die]

Suddenly the god looked at where I was sitting and I immediately realised that..

[Hehe you knew I was here]

As I looked at my hands, I saw that they already disappeared.

With so many regrets, so many complaints, so many questions, I took my final breath and my existence faded completely.

This was it.

I was finally....dead.

Or so I thought.

I guess destiny had already planned great things for me.
