I fumbled with the books and arranged them back to their place on the dean's office desk as fast as I could and turned to the door almost immediately. I opened the door and was about to step out when Dean Androdes stopped me.
"Miss Clarke" He called and I turned back. " Don't disclose everything about your ancestry to anyone else " he warned.
I wanted to tell him I told the girls already but decided not to as I nodded and was about to step out when he stopped me again.
"Speak, I can see you have words in your mouth to let out"
How did he know I was negotiating the thought of teling him or not?
Gently, I shut the door and fronted him again. " The girls, I told them about my supposed father" I whispered and buried my head in shame. I felt like I have been unreasonable and had done something wrong again.
"What girls?" the dean frowned.
Oh, I've forgotten he was an oldie. He might not krow the expressions youngsters use now. " The girls...my friends " I explained.
