I reluctantly got up and walked into my bathroom to wash off my face.
I stepped out of the bathroom to have a change of cloths and I could here mom's loud chuckles with Andrew.
I just feel so annoyed.
I got dressed and picked up books and a pen. I walked passed them and they paid no attention to me.
I stepped outside and called my driver from the boys quatre at the back yard.
"Is everything okay ma'am??" Vie my driver asked.
I faked a smile.
He smiled back and we got into the car.
We got to the park and I alighted. I quickly spotted Chris not standing to far away from the ice cream stand.
"Hi." I said standing right in front of him.
"I didn't expect you would make it so early." He smiled.
I smiled back.
We walked Into the park and sat on an old bench made with cement.
I'm a kinda girl who really loves writing scripts but I just am not in the mood for that today. I don't seem to be thinking straight.
"You don't seem like yourself, what's wrong??" He asked.
"Nothing. I'm fine." I lied.
Chris and I have been friends for a while but I don't think our family life and issues is something I should share with an outsider. And also, I haven't really grown to trust him. We don't have much stuff bringing us together apart from school work and script writing.
"Are you sure??" He asked.
I nodded.
After a long day of writing and thinking, the sun finally went down and Chris and I departed.
I got home and the living room was empty. That's unusual.
I walked straight into my room and I met mom cleaning it up.
What's going on here??? That's so weird.
"Mom"?? I called wondering why she's doing what she's doing.
She looked back with a very happy and sincere smile. Its been a while since I saw her smile like that.
"Why do you look so happy??" I asked.
"Andrew asked me out for dinner tonight so I wanna borrow some of your make up." She replied.
I guess I was wrong after all. She wasn't cleaning my room.
"They are in the wardrobe" I said sitting on the edge of my bed.
"Are u okay with that??" She asked.
"Yeah. Go have fun." I reluctantly smiled.
She picked the make up she needed and walked out.
But looking into the bright side, Andrew kinda makes her gappy and I think leaving them alone is the least I can do for mom. But I'm never gonna accept him as my father. Never.
I crashed on my bed. It's really been a long and exhausting day for me.
*next morning*
6:45am
Woke up quite early and got prepared for school. Mom didn't return last night so I have to make breakfast all my myself.
I got everything ready at exactly 7:17am and headed to school.
I got into my class and i was the first person to get to class. I seem to have no other friend apart from Chris. I have been living very lonely ever since dad died.
I was just enjoying the sound of silence, the sweetness in being alone. When a guy stepped in.
I looked towards his direction and our eyes met. My heart skipped beats.
"Good morning" he greeted.
I don't know why but words don't just seem to come out of my eyes. I think I've been thinking too much about dad that's why this guy looks so much like him. Just the lips and eyes are somehow different.
"Hey?!!" He said.
"Hi." I finally replied.
"Are you fine??" He asked walking towards me.
I nodded.
"You sure??" He asked again.
I nodded.
Who's he?? Why is he here?? What's he doing here?? Last time I checked he doesn't attend school here or is he new??
"I'm Gabriel. You can just call me Gab." He smiled.
"Annie" I responded.
"I'm new." He said.
Now that answered my question.
I kept on starring at him cause he reminded me of dad. The resemblance is just to much to be ignored.
"Why are you starring at me like that??" He asked.
I looked away without saying a word
