It's Friday today, and a physical fitness class will be held today.
Adrian has been grumbling since breakfast.
"I'm a summoner, why do I have to do this?"
He kept on asking that question to both me and Kim Jaesuk, trying to find justification for him to not train his physical ability.
"Cmon man, you need to be able to run away since you don't have the means to protect yourself in close combat..."
"That's right Adrian, at least you need good amount of stamina."
I said to him, supported by Kim Jaesuk.
"Ugh, both of you..."
Arriving at the fields, a lot of student are already there waiting for the teacher to come.
There's been talk about the festival which will be happening soon.
"Seems like everyone's excited for the festival..."
"Of course, it's the only time when students are free to go outside."
I said to the other, then Kim Jaesuk answered.
A few moments later, instructor Alex showed up and started the activity just like last week.
We were just about to start running when a group of student can be seen walking towards our direction, lead by an instructor(?) judging by his appearance.
"Why are you guys here in the first year's training field, Joma?"
Instructor Alex asked them as they come closer.
The one leading them, Joma then answered.
"Hey hey, we just came to say hi man, as those student's upperclassmen."
"Is that so? For those from 'NOBLE' class to come all the way here to say hi to us, bunch of commoner... I wonder if the Sun rises from the west earlier..."
It seems like they're our senior in the academy, and from the noble class.
I looked around at them and recognise a face that's very hard to forget.
The Ikemen, Frankwell.
He also recognise my face and smirked before whispering something to another student standing next to him, that student then ran away after nodding his head.
After that, he also whispered something to his instructor.
I squinted my eyes at that and sighed.
'Seems like there's gonna be a problem soon...'
After Frankwell whispered something to instructor Joma, he nodded and turned to talk to instructor Alex.
"Hey, since we've come all the way here, shall we train together?"
At that question, instructor Alex frowned.
"What do you mean train together?"
"Oh you know what I meant... a spar between the first year and second year."
"That's not gonna happen."
"Ehh why? It'll be a good learning experience for your student."
"You do know it's only their second week at the academy right? And most importantly, you guys are all nobles."
"C'mon man, are you trying to say that your students won't be able to do shit?"
Smirking, instructor Alex replied,
"Not at all... I just thought it'll be bad for the noble's image if they got beaten up by first year of the commoner class."
"You!!!"
Not only he provoked instructor Joma, the whole students that instructor brought here also got upset just by looking at their crumped expression right now.
"Okay so we're doing it right?"
"As you wish."
"Fine, don't embarrass yourself, Alex..."
After saying that, instructor Joma turned around to his student and they talked about something.
Instructor Alex does the same.
"Okay students, sorry you have to experience this... but giving up before trying is not a good mindset to have, so we'll try to hold our ground. Don't bother trying to win as you guys are just starting out, at least don't lose so badly okay?"
"Okay instructor!"
Nodding his head, instructor Alex turned back to instructor Joma.
"So, what's the rules?"
"One on one, five matches. You choose five of your best students to spar against five of mine."
After saying that, five students walked forward out of the noble's group.
Including Frankwell.
He still has that ikemen smile plastered over his face while staring at me.
'The heck?'
Feeling disgusted, I put up my middle finger toward him.
Surprisingly, he didn't react at all and just tilted his head a bit.
"So, who wants to try?"
Instructor Alex asked us, and no one responded.
It's a normal reaction because no one wants to go forward just to embarrass themselves in front of everyone.
Just as I thought that it couldn't get any worse, I heard footsteps coming from other direction.
It's another group of students with their instructor as well.
Aside from that, there's one more coming our direction as well.
Seems like they come to spectate.
"Who are they?"
"There's so many people..."
Our group started to whisper to each other upon seeing that.
Instructor Alex just sighed,
"Sigh, how low can you get, Joma?"
"Hmm? I don't get what you mean. It's fun when there's more spectator right?"
Instructor Joma answered while smirking, together with his fellow students.
'Those bastards...'
I can't hold myself back anymore, so I decided to go first.
"I'll go f-"
"I'll go first!"
But just as I was about volunteer, another guy suddenly cut me off.
It's Kim Jaesuk.
Instructor Alex asked him again to confirm,
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. I'll go first..."
"Okay."
Kim Jaesuk then walked towards the middle of the square shaped area formed by the spectator around.
"Ohoh... if it isn't the dual S-ranked aptitudes boy... I wonder if you're living up to your talent?"
Instructor Joma said with clear sarcasm, then he told one of the five students to go.
Kim Jaesuk didn't say anything and just picked up a wooden sword provided.
His opponent also chose a sword.
Instructor Alex started to explain the rules.
"Okay, the match will end when one side faint or surrender. Excess violence is prohibited, so behave yourself."
"Hey, using mana is allowed right?"
Instructor Joma suddenly asked.
Frowning, instructor Alex replied,
"If both participants agree then that's fine..."
"Tch..."
Both of the participants nodded their head.
"Are you guys ready?"
"Yes."
"Just start quickly so I can end it. I don't need mana to fight against a first year commoner."
At his provocation, Kim Jaesuk is still not saying anything and just focusing on himself.
"3... 2... 1... start!"
At instructor Alex's declaration, Kim Jaesuk's opponent dashed forward straight away.
Kim Jaesuk just stayed still even when his opponent is already coming close to him.
"Hahaha frozen in fear are you??"
His opponent then continued to provoke him and swung his sword down when he's right in front of Kim Jaesuk.
Just as the sword was about to hit Kim Jaesuk,
(clank!)
His opponent's sword flew away.
All it took is a single swing coming from Kim Jaesuk and his opponent loosen his grip straight away.
"Wh- what..."
"All those talk, and this is what you amount to?"
Kim Jaesuk said with a deep, low voice.
But everyone can heard his wrath underneath that voice.
"Get lost, weakling!"
Kim Jaesuk then put his sword down, turned around, and start to walk away,
"You... you fuckerr!!"
His opponent started to dash toward him and raised his first trying to hit Kim Jaesuk.
Adrian then shouted,
"Jaesuk, behind you!"
"I know."
After saying that, Kim Jaesuk turned straight away and dodge the incoming punch precisely, and punch his opponent hard on the abdomen which threw him away.
His opponent rolled over at the ground a few times before he completely stopped moving.
Instructor Alex then walked towards him to check, before announcing.
"He fainted, so the winner is Kim Jaesuk!"
"Wh- whoaaaa!"
The students from our class then started cheering.
I guess it boost their morale especially seeing how easy Kim Jaesuk beat his opponent.
The nobles' faces doesn't look good though.
Kim Jaesuk then walked back to our group, and instructor Alex asked.
"So, who's next?"
"Let me..."
A bulky guy then came out of our group and walked toward the middle of the field as well.
Just like before, he chose a weapon and his opponent do the same. They agreed not to use mana either.
The spar doesn't look that interesting, and it ended rather quickly with the student from out group losing.
He didn't lose badly because the opponent had to hit him multiple times due to the endurance that he has.
"Next!"
Just as the last spar, this one is not exciting as well.
Rather, the whole spar doesn't look exciting at all especially since it's like just a brawl between two people doing street fight.
The first one, Kim Jaesuk had beaten the crap out of his opponent in an instant.
The second one, the bulky guy from our class allowed himself to be a sandbag to the opponent.
The third one, our side lost just after clashing sword a few times.
Just as I'm getting bored, a girl finally came out of our group.
She has her hair tied up in ponytail and since I'm looking our group's side, I can't see her face nor her figure.
What surprises me though, is her weapon that she chose.
It's a rapier.
