Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

[Ding! Current Level 4]

Finally, the prompt he was waiting for sounded.

"Wow, I directly went up two levels!!!" Di Tian was happy knowing he went up two levels in one go.

Suddenly a warm refreshing feeling came over his body, he felt as though he had just woken up after getting a long sleep, his fatigue disappeared.

Even the injuries given by that squirrel began to fade away.

"This Feels so comfortable."

[Additional stats: Additional Stats: strength +10| Defense +10| Attack Power +10| Vitality +14| Stamina +14| Agility +8]

The level of skill hard shell has increased.

[Hard Shell 2 --> Hard Shell 3]

The level of skill Shell Bash has increased.

[Shell Bash 1 --> Shell Bash 2]

The level of skill Tail Whip has increased.

[Tail Whip 1 --> Tail Whip 2]

The vigor of his newly found strength and the full recovery because of having levelled up filled him with a feeling of floating on cloud nine.

Feeling the growing strength in his round body, Di Tian couldn't help but become exited.

He was sure that with his increased stats, he could easily kill the previous squirrel by only whipping him five times at most with his tail.

Now five times might not sound that amazing, it's a huge growth compared to how he killed it by repeatedly slamming his tail, he was sure he tail whipped the creature more than twenty times.

While he was bubbling with excitement, he called out his status panel causing a blue window to appear in his mind.

Host status

[Name: Long Di Tian]

[Species: Unknown Egg Monster]

[Level: 4/5]

[Stats: Vitality 22| Stamina 22| Agility 14| Attack Power 13| Strength 14| Defense 14(+4)]

[Skill(s): Lesser Extra Senses (1) | Hard Shell (3) |Shell Bash (2) | Tail Whip (2)]

[Unique Skill(s): Wise One (Unknown)]

[Remark: Well, that's a lot for sudden increase in stats]

[(lvl:3) (Passive) (Name: Hard Shell) (Description: passively increase your defense by +4 points)]

Looking at the information on the blue window his mood became happiest he ever was.

"Not only did I kill something way above my level, but I also even levelled up and got a huge increase in my stats, today is my lucky day."

Correction, this only happened because you were lucky, it's advisable to not get overconfident because of this one win.

Just as he was getting happy over his win the dragged him down to the earth from his cloud nine.

"Hump, Kill Joy" his mood that had just soared pummeled down, Di Tian of course knew this very well that he only got lucky this time, his ambush tactic and the fact that squirrel injured itself was the main reason for his win.

If the squirrel didn't get injured in its leg than the outcome would've been different.

'Yet there are no ifs in this world' the fact that he a lower-class creature could kill someone above his level made him once again realize that there are no 'ifs' and anything can happen in this world, he might just die in the next second if he isn't cautious.

Di Tian went to look for another prey to hunt, he was already at level 4 with only one level up he will reach level 5 and will be able to say goodbye to this round body of a shell.

Of course, leveling up to level 5 won't be easy, each time he levelled up he need more than twice the exp for the next level up if not even more than that.

...But it won't be same if he wanted to level up to level 5, the exp needed will be more than ten times the previous amount.

Even if all the exp required from level 1 to level 4 were combined together it won't be nearly enough for him to level up to level 5.

Lamenting about this fact he began to search for more prey, forgetting about the squirrel corpse, the corpse will probably be eaten by wild animals by the nighttime.

The sky was shining, while the jungle was lively with his favorite prey... cough, cough, cough, I mean all insects and small animals moving with their own business.

Di Tian used the energy waves to scan the area every two seconds in order to locate a suitable prey.

Right when he was busy searching, his senses caught a slight rustling as if something was constantly moving towards him at a very fast speed.

Not wasting anymore time thinking, he tilted his body causing it to fall on the right side, and in the next second something pounced on his previous position from the nearby bushes.

Di Tian got up and looked at the creature that came to attack him.

Target status

[Species: Wild Rodent]

[Stats: Vitality 21| Stamina 28| Agility 19| Attack Power 15| Strength 16| Defense 18]

[Skill(s): Scratch | Bite]

[Remark: A worthy opponent for the current host, it is advisable to treat it with cation]

"A Rodent" Di Tian was a bit afraid and exited at the same time while looking at the rodent that appeared in front of him, the creature was even bigger than the one he previously saw.

He was sure that if he hadn't levelled up two times in a row he would've died after meeting this guy.

Both of their stats were more or less the same.

The only advantage that Di Tian had in front of this creature was the fact that he had more useful skills in his arsenal.

SQUEAK!

The rodent had seen him as a prey the moment they met, not being able to contain itself the creature made the first move.

It charged at Di Tian with madness spewing from its eyes.

Di Tian didn't move from his position, the rodent had a higher agility than him it was obvious that before he could even land a single hit the creature will evade his attacks.

He might even leave an opening for his opponent to attack him instead.

Competing in terms of speed wasn't only time wasting for him it was also life threatening.
