Chapter 28 - 28 Eli And Yorris Go On Vocation

Jean nodded reluctantly. Since childhood Yorris's attitude was bad enough and Jean understood so well that it was to give a direct sign of understanding. In his mind, Yorris wondered what was so special about going to the garden that Jean was caught off guard. Emotions that are never shown become an overdose.

"Then please bring me a souvenir from the garden."

"You think we're taking a tour?"

Yorris didn't have time to get angry any further because Eli pulled him. Even with other people, Yorris would not budge. Sometimes Yorris can transform into a child trapped in an adult's body.

Arriving at the yard, Yorris's eyes did not blink as he traced the plants and the design of the house. Getting there takes almost two hours. There must be a mature plan if you want to visit.

The arrival of Eli and Yorris was welcomed by Eli's mother and siblings. The feel of the house is very traditional because it is indeed a village.

"What's this?"

Yorris's eyebrows furrowed with disapproval and disgust. He was not used to seeing something dirty. For Yorris it was disgusting but for Eli it was food.

"This is called ciplukan fruit."

"Ah, this must be a wild plant," said Yorris, still moving away not wanting to get close. His knowledge is wide, there is very little that Yorris does not know.

"It's good that you know. Now let's eat it."

Yorris looked away, and while grinning he said something. "No thanks, I don't eat random food. I must have been crazy agreeing to come with you instead of waiting at home."

Eli smiled knowingly, she would not give up before Yorris agreed to taste one.

"Come on, at least taste a little. This fruit tastes sweet."

Eli pushed the fruit right in front of Yorris' face, causing him to feel annoyed. There is no fear and doubt, Eli is confident in what she says and she is not lying.

"I'll pay you back if the taste doesn't suit my tongue."

"Okay."

Yorris still watched the fruit, unsure of how much he should eat. Yorris's face changed after the taste of the fruit was tasted.

"It's not good but it's sweet."

Yorris nodded and finished the whole fruit. If it felt like that Yorris could handle three to five more.

"Now let's go somewhere else." This invitation is completely unreasonable. "You alone, I do not want to come."

"Hey, we grow guava, sugar cane, and salak fruit. When will you be able to eat fresh fruit straight from the tree?"

Yorris whined that he didn't want to walk in a dirty place, not to mention that the path was also overgrown with weeds. As a guest, Eli should have picked fruits and then given them to Yorris.

"Shit, I said I don't like dirty places. I didn't bring a change of clothes."

"I have a collection of T-shirts. You can wear that."

Yorris rolled his eyes, they had already gone to the garden. I don't know what possessed Yorris to agree to join Eli. He should have never joined in the first place.

"Okay, make sure the fruit is ripe on the tree."

"Of course." Eli gave the thumbs-up sign.

The two of them walked a long way through the garden. Yorris almost fell several times which of course Eli helped. At least the woman helped when Yorris was in trouble.

Once again Yorris' eyes scanned the new environment around him. What Eli said was true, there were many fruit trees and all were ripe.

"Wow."

"Cha let's work."

Yorris reflexively held his breath as he saw Eli take out a machete. The bag that Eli had brought turned out to be for storing the object.

The way Eli swings the machete like a pro. No wonder her reflexes and strength are on a different level compared to women in general. Even so, Yorris didn't want to get close to Eli, afraid that the sharp object would fly at him.

"Be careful El."

Eli stopped for a moment to look at Yorris. The expression on the man's face was so funny that it occurred to her that she wanted to dedicate this moment. It was rare for Yorris to show a scared face. Usually like a lion.

"Next time be careful with me. This machete swinging skill can be deadly even with bare hands."

Yorris snorted, his eyes focused on the machete in Eli's hand. He can't wait to taste sugarcane. Sugarcane is not a wild plant and Yorris has a sweet tooth.

"Can I harvest guavas?"

Yorris's eyes blinked like a child asking for mom's approval to buy toys. Eli's heart could not bear to see Yorris's cuteness. Okay, apart from being fierce, Yorris has an adorable side.

"Sure. Be careful with the ants."

When Eli saw Yorris, that person was busy eating guava. The tree is not tall so it is very easy to reach. Yorris's eyes looked around while his mouth was busy chewing.

"The bamboo should be cleaned. I'll help rent an excavator. The forest there must also be leveled."

Yorris pointed to an old forest. Eli pulled that index finger.

"Don't point at it, the occupants will be angry."

Yorris's index finger slowly dropped, not that he was afraid and believed Eli's words. He just respects any mystical beliefs to avoid trouble.

"Oh, you've finished peeling the sugarcane. Give it to me."

Yorris' hand moved to ask for sugar cane even though he still had guava in his hand. Busy eating Yorris told Eli to pick salak fruit. Yorris is a greedy little boy.

"Wait a moment."

Eli smiled as he saw Yorris eating voraciously. It wasn't wrong for Eli to take him to the garden.

"Woah, it's fresh. All the fruit is sweet."

"Of course, I'm the one who planted the salak fruit."

Yorris chuckled hearing that Eli was proud just for growing one type of fruit. There should be no need to get excited.

"Oh, we've never had a honeymoon, let's pretend we're doing it now," Eli muttered. Her smile has not faded since coming to the garden. It had been a long time since Eli's last visit to the garden that she missed her.
