In the admist of the thoughts she was sitting near the corner of the class staring at the sky.

It was almost the evening of that day, the skies looked vibrant orange while the clouds reflected that color, the sun was slowly going down. During that moment I reached out to her saying,

"Why are you staying there for so long? it's time to go home."

Shocked by my sudden voice she looked at me and replied

"The class was over a long time ago why are you still here?".

Ashamed to tell her I fell asleep in the roof, I just replied

"I was just revising what the teacher taught us today"

She giggled and said

"Pfft-that sounds so fake ".

Out of embarrassed I asked her "what about you?".

She looks out the window

"I was gonna go home with a guy but that guy fell asleep at the roof and I didn't want to wake him up so I came back to the class and started drawing the sky while waiting for him to wake up".

She giggled

I thought to my self

'she knew dammit'.

I asked her

"Why didn't you go back home by yourself ?. Won't you get scolded for arriving home late?"

I had muttered so many questions before I realized that we had already reached her home.

She looked at me with a smile.

"Well to answer all of your question I'll just say

You're the reason my world feels brighter."

She left

I was astonishing at that comment
