In the Kadman mansion, a typical morning was unfolding, but as always, both of them looked stunning. Adam, impeccable in a tailored suit, stood out as the epitome of elegance. The high-quality fabric embraced his imposing figure, enhancing his height and athletic build. A white cotton shirt accentuated the black tie, while his gold and diamond cuff links glistened, reflecting his status and wealth. A gold wristwatch and custom-made leather shoes completed the ensemble. His blue eyes were like precious gems, enhancing his square and masculine face, adorned with silky black hair.
Damián, on the other hand, had chosen navy-blue wool-tailored trousers that accentuated his long, slender legs. The striped shirt with the embroidered blue and white logo added a touch of freshness to his look. A red suspender added a unique charm to his style. His oval face, with a delicate chin and rosy cheeks, stood out with large and expressive eyes. The iris, which started in brown, turned amber, and finally turned blue, added an aura of mystery. His slightly disheveled reddish-blond hair framed a charming smile, making him a vision of beauty.
While Damián and Adam enjoyed their meal, a breakfast scene was in progress at an elegant table, served by attentive waiters. Lady Elizabeth, Lord Malcolm, and Taylor were present, but a slight tension hung in the air. Taylor, despite her position at the Kadman family table, knew it was temporary and seemed slightly uneasy. She observed the dynamics between the hosts with a keen eye. Meanwhile, the butler, Mr. Cecil, discreetly observed, attentive to any needs that might arise.
Breakfast at the Kadman mansion was more than just a meal. It was a display of pomp and circumstance, where appearances and social nuances were as important as the food served. While the world watched in fascination the luxurious lives of the Kadmans, within those walls, a dance of elegance and diplomacy was in constant motion.
For the butler, Mr. Cecil, Damian's presence in the Kadman family represented something unusual and intriguing. While he took care of all aspects of the Kadman family, Damián was like a bat in a nest of birds. The members of the Kadman family were like elegant birds, with their plumage of prestige and high status in society. However, Damián didn't fit this picture. He lacked the social shine and noble pedigree, being an omega with no apparent family ties and carrying a mysterious past. To Mr. Cecil, Damián was a challenge to the established order and the expectations of high society.
On the other hand, Taylor saw Damián as a potential threat to the Kadman family's harmony. She was willing to protect Lady Elizabeth and Adam at any cost, and if Damián showed any intention of taking advantage of Adam or harming Lady Elizabeth, Taylor wouldn't hesitate to intervene. In her eyes, Damián was everything that was wrong—an omega without apparent family connections and an enigma in terms of motivations. What bothered her the most was the idea of how Adam could fall in love with someone she considered a complete stranger.
To Taylor, Damián exuded a scent of deceit and falsehood, noticeable from miles away. She was willing to do whatever it took to ensure the safety and happiness of her family, even if it meant facing the enigma that was Damián.
As the house came to life with the morning hustle and bustle, Adam was getting ready to leave for work.
Adam approached Damián with an affectionate smile and enveloped him in a warm embrace from behind. He left a gentle kiss on Damian's neck curve before speaking in a soft tone.
"Baby, I know I have to go to work. I'll miss you while I'm away, but it's important to me that you feel comfortable accompanying Aster."
Damián looked at Adam with a smile, tenderly touching his lover's hand. "I understand, Adam. Enjoy your workday."
Adam caressed Damián face and said with tenderness, "We'll meet later, alright?"
With one last exchange of glances and a passionate kiss, Adam stepped away from Damián and headed towards the door. The helicopter was waiting for Adam outside, with Taylor, his assistant, ready to accompany him.
Damián was preparing to leave the mansion, his mind filled with thoughts about what awaited him at the gallery. He walked towards the door, but before he could leave, he was interrupted by the silent arrival of the butler, Mr. Cecil. The butler was accompanied by a meticulously dressed staff member holding a silver tray containing a black card.
With his typical elegance and poise, the butler began to speak in a soft, unwavering tone, maintaining his impeccable composure.
"Mr. Damián, allow me to deliver this. It's one of the keys to the castle, symbolizing your new status within the Kadman family, despite your unconventional origins. Your name, once seemingly meaningless and of little value, is now linked to an account of Adam."
Damián looked at the black card with a surprised and curious expression. He looked at the butler.
The butler continued with the same soft voice, adding, "However, I must make it clear that I have instructed Miss Taylor to closely oversee any financial transactions related to you. Any excessive financial activity will be questioned."
As Damián prepared to respond with all the venom at his disposal, his smile was about to turn into a sharp retort. But before he could release his cutting words, they were surprised by Lady Elizabeth. She approached Damián, held him affectionately by the shoulders, and spoke with enthusiasm.
"Did you like the surprise, Damián? Money should not be a barrier between us. Go out and spend as much as you want. Bags, cars, houses, or boats—buy everything you desire."
Damián was ready to respond, but the words died in his mouth as Lady Elizabeth continued emphatically:
"You must accept. Use it to live the life you deserve. It's a blessing to have you in this family."
Emotionally disarmed and deeply touched by Lady Elizabeth's kindness, Damián let his smile take over. With gratitude shining in his eyes, he took the card from the silver tray, made a gesture of respect, and headed to the waiting car.
It was an unexpected validation, a gesture that made him truly feel part of the family. Lady Elizabeth had touched his heart in a way he didn't expect—a meeting of minds and souls. He liked her. A feeling of small steps for the butler, Mr. Cecil, Damián represented an intriguing challenge to his ability to read people, like an unexplored chapter in his sharp intuition.
Teaching this omega, the meaning of his place in the Kadman family would be an interesting prospect. He couldn't wait to start the first lesson, making it clear that this omega was nothing more than a bat among birds, with its distinctive fur and teeth.
At the gallery, Damián held the card in his hand as he talked with Aster. He explained that he had found Taylor's Protector, the character in the fiction who is hired or assigned to protect her—the Kadman family's Butler.
Damián explained how the two of them formed a kind of duo, somewhat similar to the relationship between Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia: Luke Skywalker is a friend of Princess Leia who helps her escape from the Empire and protects her from Darth Vader.
Aster raised her hands in a gesture of surprise. "Darth Vader? You?"
Damián laughed. "Are you overestimating me? Why can't I be Darth Vader?"
They shared a laugh, aware that their lives were filled with challenges and intriguing situations.
On the other side of town, a team of men worked frantically in the apartment, moving furniture back and forth and installing an advanced alarm and camera system near the electrical wiring.
Gunnar watched closely, overseeing every detail with care.
"What I'm doing represents a risk, but I'm willing to take that risk," Taylor said over the phone.
"Are you sure you want to proceed?" Gunnar asked during the last conversation.
Taylor expressed her determination, reaffirming a resounding yes.
Gunnar made a disapproving sound. He repeated the question about ten times in the last three hours, but Taylor's answer remained unwavering.
This was in contrast to his initial idea. In fact, it was a decision Gunnar was reluctant to accept; he didn't want Taylor to leave Kadman's house.
However, Taylor's response was clear: "People definitely don't die of love."
As a result, the past few days have been a terrible nightmare for Taylor. She already felt her face hurt from forcing a fake smile in the presence of Adam's Omega. Her calculated indifference went unnoticed.
In less than two weeks, Taylor had become a spectator of the displays of affection between Adam and Damián, realizing that the damn Omega was a skilled player.
It was only a matter of time before Damián fired Taylor.
Taylor didn't expect to face such a cunning opponent. When would her life return to normal? Everyone else had already left. Adam may have marked Damián, but how could she change what was happening?
This question echoed in her mind throughout the day. She couldn't shake these thoughts.
Was quitting her job the best option? As much as she hid all the anger and hatred she felt for Damián, she still loved Adam desperately.
How could she leave Adam at the mercy of that monstrous being?
Frustrated and furious with herself, Taylor decided that following Mrs. Beatrice Phillips's orders was the best thing to do.
The last conversation with Mrs. Beatrice intrigued her.
She had ordered Taylor to prepare to leave the Kadman house voluntarily and warned her that future events would be complex.
In the blink of an eye, Taylor pondered the possibilities of winning or losing.
Mrs. Beatrice's voice had a sharp tone that, for the first time, made Taylor question whether she should blindly trust and persist in Beatrice Phillips's idea. Taylor decided to keep that in mind constantly but chose to follow Mrs. Beatrice's instructions.
Either way, whatever the outcome, she would accept and cooperate with Mrs. Beatrice's orders while keeping everything secret.
Luke, one of Adam's new assistants, looked at Taylor with a mischievous smile. "So, shall we?" he asked impatiently.
"Yes, let's," Taylor replied, not taking her eyes off Luke.
"It's a shame; Adam is a perfect gentleman," Luke commented as they walked toward the meeting room. "It's a shame he's no longer the most eligible bachelor on the "dream rating list!!"
Taylor stared at Luke without blinking. "What are you insinuating?" she asked, finally.
Luke smiled. "Nothing," he said. "Just that you're missing a great opportunity."
