Chapter 54 - Equivocal, 54

Mason was finally in front of the large windows that he had curiously observed, his eyes capturing the interplay of lights and shadows in the city beyond. The sensation that ran down his spine was like electricity, causing his heart to race. He carefully turned on some lights, bathing the apartment in a soft amber glow as he ran his fingers over picture frames and objects meticulously placed throughout the space, like a true silent ghost.

His fingers traced the outlines of the portraits, revealing nostalgia in his gaze as he examined the lives of others. The burning curiosity that drove him only grew with each discovery he made. He yearned for more, to unravel the secrets hidden behind the photographs and personal objects.

After exploring the apartment, Mason turned his attention to Lumière, a small lizard resting in its terrarium. His gestures were gentle and affectionate as he fed the reptile, a momentary pause in his relentless pursuit.

Later, he moved away from the terrarium and admired every corner of the apartment. He found fascination in Julien's seemingly glamorous life, a student of the arts who had chosen a nocturnal path, prostituting himself to survive. The mixture of mystery and decadence was like a magnet for Mason, who couldn't help but scrutinize every piece of Julien's life, eager to understand the secrets behind the glittering facade.

He sat on the sofa in the living room and began to laugh, looking around with curiosity. He sniffed some drinks at the small bar; there were so many things to explore; he didn't know where to begin. He went to the bedroom and lay down slowly on the bed, inhaling the scent of the room; Julien's house had a sweet melon scent. Rolling onto his back in bed, he began to laugh and sigh.

Getting up afterward, he headed toward the gigantic closet, opening doors and drawers, becoming fascinated. Plugs in various shapes, whips of various types: with feathers or chains.

There were handcuffs of various kinds: plush, fabrics in various colors, leather, and metal. There was everything, even cute animal ears and tails.

The lingerie was so beautiful—a section of lace, delicate and sensual pieces—that he couldn't resist and put on himself.

In another part of the closet, there were sensual masks, collars, and wigs. Mason picked up a short black wig with a bob cut in his hands. Opening another drawer, he found a variety of makeup.

Mason was accustomed to disguising himself and escaping from anywhere at any time; he was skilled at creating a new appearance with makeup.

With a smile in front of the mirror, he secured his hair firmly, picked up brushes, and began to apply makeup. He used colors to add depth to his eyes and lined them in black. He chose a dark-toned lipstick and, as he observed himself in the mirror, put on the wig.

Adjusting the wig, he took large, sparkling earrings and put them on. He was pleased with the image reflected in the mirror and then headed to the clothing section.

There was a parade of colors and a variety of outfits, from modest to daring. He opted for a sexy costume that resembled a sexy maid cosplay in black and white, with silver details and various ruffles. He completed the look by adding white fox ears, and as he admired himself in the mirror, he laughed with admiration. He looked stunning.

When the doorbell rang, he turned immediately, surprised by the unexpected sound.

He remained still for a few moments, then moved silently toward the door, casting a curious glance to identify the visitor. His nervousness grew rapidly when he realized it was the Tuesday client, even though today was Friday—definitely not the agreed-upon day.

Julien had warned that he had many friends, but no one was supposed to show up at his apartment on those days!

With courage, he opened the door, and the man who entered was momentarily shocked by his presence. Mason, a bit shy, introduced himself, "I'm Mason."

The alpha stared at him and let out a seductive smile.

Stuttering before the figure that was his object of desire, Mason finally found words, "Julien isn't here."

The alpha kept smiling and replied with a teasing tone, "That's fine with me. In fact, I found you incredibly sexy."

Mason blushed and tried to explain, "I just came to look after the lizard. Julien is traveling, and I live nearby." He offered a few nervous smiles.

The alpha, who looked like a demigod, slid his hand-over Mason's face and complimented, "You're beautiful." He moved closer, letting his fingers touch in an exploratory way.

Mason gathered all his courage and replied, "I'm not like Julien."

The alpha asked, "Do you have other clients, then? If so, I can pay more. You can cancel with all of them today. I'll pay you as much as you want."

The alpha pondered for a moment and then said, "And with me, if you want, you can pretend that you're not a prostitute omega, but that I'm the man of your dreams who gets you wet.

The alpha seductively continued, "Then let me be the man of your dreams."

And so Mason succumbed to a passionate kiss, full of hunger, desire and light bites.

Then the doorbell rang again, insistently, like a shrill alarm, followed by loud knocks that reverberated through the apartment, shattering Mason's dream world. The piercing sound cut through the silence like a scream in the night.

He abruptly left the arms of the alpha whose name he didn't even know and, with a leap, ran towards the door. Each quick step was a heartbeat in his chest, while a sense of panic enveloped him. With trembling fingers, he turned the handle and opened the door, ready to tell Julien he wasn't home.

However, what he found on his doorstep left him momentarily paralyzed with terror. A group of men dressed in black like shadows stood before him. They seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, like sinister specters. The initial fear made him think that the Gruber family or the CIA had found him, and his mind filled with terrifying images.

But then one of the men spoke in a deep, authoritative voice that cut through the tense air: "Mr. Zeki, your older brother Mister Can-Bey is waiting for you." Each word was pronounced with a coldness that sent shivers down Mason's spine, and he realized that this was no casual visit, but something much more complex and not meant for him.

The men dressed in black surrounded Zeki, their gazes serious and imperturbable, as if they were the bodyguards of an important figure. Without explanation, they were led to a vehicle parked on the side of the road, whose dark windows hid the interior.

Mason, still confused and fearful, was gently pushed to join Zeki. His eyes were wide with surprise and frustration.

The car started with a roar, the tinted windows obscuring the outside world as they were driven to an unknown destination.

The sound of the roaring engine, the squeal of the tires on the bends, and the tense silence inside the car created an atmosphere charged with uncertainty. Mason looked out once more—was he getting into another problem? Why was he being taken along, and where were they going?

The sleek black car approached a majestic glass structure that rose into the night sky. The Wilson Tower, nicknamed "The Media King's Throne", was illuminated by a series of lights that emphasized its grandeur. It dominated the city skyline like a beacon of wealth and power.

When they reached the entrance, the men in black opened the doors of the vehicle and Zeki and Mason stepped out, watching in awe as the scene unfolded before them, Mason thinking about how to escape.

A polished marble walkway led to a glass elevator that seemed to transport visitors right into the heart of royalty.

The elevator took them to a luxurious penthouse at the top of the tower. Stepping out, Mason found himself in a breathtaking space. The living room was an oasis of opulence, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking views of the illuminated city. The floor was covered in marble, while seemingly priceless works of art adorned the walls.

The furniture was a mix of contemporary and classic design, with velvet sofas, overstuffed armchairs and gleaming coffee tables. A sleek modern fireplace was embedded in one of the walls, exuding warmth and comfort.

Zeki and Mason were led together to a private room where an imposing man sat and waited. As they entered, the head of security stood ready, waiting for orders. Can-Bey's angry eyes rose, and his words cut through the air like bullets.

"You'll never grow up, Zeki," he said in a harsh, accusatory tone. Before Mason's astonished eyes, a family feud began to unfold, words laden with resentment and frustration flying back and forth.

As he watched the intense exchange between the two men, Mason couldn't help but notice the aura that surrounded Can-Bey.

Zeki was a demigod. However, Can-Bey resembled a god of Olympus in all his majesty. His presence almost made Mason salivate with admiration, for he was facing a powerful and dominant figure who seemed to transcend mere mortality.

Then, by a coincidence of fate, Mason became Can-Bey Wilson's exclusive lover, protected and well-guarded, he no longer had to worry about the Gruber family.

Can-Bey didn't want anyone to know about his secret affair with an omega prostitute, which led him to keep it a secret. With that alpha by his side, there was no reason to keep looking for those two agents who posed a mortal threat.

This turn of events in Mason's life left him in a state of relative temporary safety, but also surrounded by a complex web of secrets and intrigue.
