"You said I saved you?"
Ahzure glanced between her and Esmer. There was a small pause and then Ahzure let out a strained sigh. "The spell wasn't bearable, Aesther."
He did not say anything more but seeing the distant shattered look in his gaze, all of Aesther's confusion dimmed down. The Nightmare Spell couldn't have shackled anyone as strongly as it did Ahzure.
He was only a child when the fae tragedy befell.
"Surely you're just being humble," Aesther smiled a little sadly, "You did save me, Ahzure."
He shook his head but before Ahzure could even utter a single word, Esmer immediately interrupted coldly.
"No need to think too much. It's not uncommon for people to become momentarily forgetful after being under such a spell. Either way, Noah was never inside the spell and I wasn't the one who did anything. Then who else could have saved Aesther?"

Ahzure thoughtfully drank some water.
