"In accordance to the castle rules…"
Hazel mumbled as she was sitting over the window, swinging her legs outside while her 'friend' braided her long hair with small flowers and gems.
"As well as the treaty laws," she popped a grape in her mouth and glanced at Aesther, "the punishment is three hundred lashes. He will need to kneel in the Hall of Sin and Virtue for three nights."
It was the time of early morning, before the sun would rise and the breeze would refreshing and gentle.
But hearing those words, Aesther only felt an emptiness. Her fingers over the door curled together.
Ezrahl was already hurt.
How will he be able to survive such harsh punishment?
Not caring for their differences, she had come to ask Hazel whatever she knew about the situation with Ezrahl. Hoping it would make her less uneasy.
"Great," Aesther grumbled, preparing to leave.
