Chapter 33 - Flame Werewolves

" Command me mistress and I will fulfill your wish."

" KILL YOUR SELF!"

" No Mara don't kil... Aaaaaagh" Author was sent flying by a strong force emitted by Mara, just by looking at him.

With Author getting hurt, and the leader of the squad death, because he stabbed himself, Mara's consciousness was regained and the pupil in her eyes were back once again.

That was when Mara realized what had happened.

" Oh my God! Author, I am so sorry, are you okay?" Mara rushed over to where Author was lying in pain, with concern on her face.

" Yeah I'm fine. What am worried about is you. What happened just now?" Asked Author, as he struggled to stand up.

" I don't know how it happened. All of a sudden I felt a strange energy in me, and then I couldn't control myself again as the energy took over my body, but my mind was still intact. I was self conscious but couldn't control myself." Mara tried to explain the feeling in details.

But the fighting party was not done yet. Their conversation was interrupted as the knights became very furious as their leader had been killed.

Then the symbol of the eye shedding dark tears on their weapons started glowing, and their bodies started a transformation.

When the transformation was completed, Author and Mara could not believe their eyes because this was the first time they had seen such a creature. Even dough Author could notice a striking resemblance with this creatures to that of the man who fled from the underground prison in the Mantion of the Duchess, they were still different.

Their muscles grew bigger, their body turned into a very dark colour, their hair turned into fur, their nails grew ten times longer and finally they increased in height. Their faces looked like that of a wolf but their tails looked like that of a dragon.

Their eyes were glowing yellow and their breath sent out steams. The most outstanding feature on their body was the yellow glow on their chest. the glow was coming from a crystal.

A notification flashed infront of Author's eyes.

(( Alert, you have encountered an elemental werewolf. It controls the element of flame.))

' Oh boy, this is going to be a long day. So they are not affected by the shadow but they are something else huh? Guess I might just have to kill something today.'

Author redied himself for fighting and so did Mara.

" What are these creatures?' Mara asked in confusion as the Aura coming from these creatures were strong, telling anyone who goes close to move away.

" They are werewolves with the element of fire." Author replied.

The first wolf charged in towards Author at a great speed. Author spined his weapon around and slashed horizontally.

But the wolf easily dodged the attack and gave out and attack if it's own, slashing Author with it's nails. Author tried his best to block the attack, but wounds were still left behind on his arms. The wolf was not satisfied, so it rushed forward for another attack.

Just then, a series of lines appeared infront of Author's eyes. They were patterns he had to follow in order to defeat the creature. Even dough it was the first time he was seeing this, he decided to follow the patterns.

The creature sent out another attack and Author used the force of the attack to leap In the air. When the werewolf looked up, it could see Author coming down with he's sword towards it's neck. It used it's speed to get out of the way but Author was also fast and he had the wolf right where he wanted. Before the wolf could escape, the weapon slashed down, chopping it's head away.

Just then a notification flashed infront of Author's eyes.

(( Congratulations.

You have killed a flame werewolf for the first time.

Instant level up begins now.))

Wow instant level up huh? not bad. The other werewolves saw what just happened and it made them more furious. All of them charged in at once.

They were too fast so Author decided to teleport some distance away but the wolf kept following him where ever he teleported to.

What Author was trying to do was to isolate one of them, but they kept coming in a group.

After a while, the wolves noticed that Author kept teleporting away from them, so they stopped an formed a circle around Author.

Then the crystal in their chest started glowing. This was an indicator that they were about to spit out flames. But how large? Author did not know. But he hoped it was Large enough.

Author smiled as the wolves constructed their attacks. When it was ready enough, they sent out a huge inferno from their mouths simutaneously towards Author.

Mara could only watch in horror, as she felt useless in this situation, dispite the fact that she had been training all her life for this sort of moments.

' This is it. This is what I saw. I did not see what happened after but I saw flames sorounding Author. I pray the ending will not be a disaster.'

Author saw the flames coming and he closed his eyes.

'I know this is a risk, but here goes nothing.'

Author opened he eyes and used his hands trying to control the direction of the flames using telekinesis. The flames were so large and so fast wich made Author struggle to control it as the heat burnt him, but Atlas the flames started following his hand directions.

Author changed the direction of the flames and sent it back towards the werewolves.

It came as a surprise to them so they weren't ready for the attack, consequently getting burnt.

Mara couldn't believe what her eyes just saw.

'You never cease to amaze me Author. How many abilities does he have?'

The wolves screamed for a short while but they stopped when the flames settled down.

Author's eyes widened as the wolves stood there with just little harm done to them. Their fur got burnt but aside from that, they looked fine. Just then one of them started laughing.

" Hahahaha.. Youv reallyk thinkd fire couldr destroy us? Youv musth be jokingk." The wolf said, with his words not well pronounced because he was in the wolf form.

' Oh boy, what do I do now?' Author took out his double bladed sword from his back and he was ready for another battle. Author's body was already healing from the burn marks caused by the flames. dough the pain was still present, he new he needed to ignore it and focus on the fight.
