Chapter 1 - Into the unknown

In the heart of the bustling city of Eldoria stood "Mystic book store,"

In that store Scaler was sitting on his chair behind the counter sipping into the cup of tea

"What a heavy rain at this late nighttime" he says while looking outside through the window of his store

Scaler opened the bookstore's old wooden door as per usual.

A muffled chime sounded from a bronze bell. Streams of water trickled down the door frame from above, leaving vestiges on the dirt-covered transom window.

The sky was murky. It was pouring heavily outside, the pitter-patter of rain and vapor creating a foggy curtain.

Puddles of water had accumulated outside the store.

"Such a heavy downpour," remarked the frowning Scaler.

He was a little miffed at his shirt and trousers getting wet.

It was unlikely that there would be any business for the bookstore under such weather besides it was already 1 am he doubted anyone could come to his store this late.

"Sigh." Scaler pulled out a triangular supporting frame and wooden board from behind the door to make a simple step at the entrance before flipping the hanging sign to display "Open".

"It is pointless to keep his shop open this late instead of going to sleep, but what if someone were to get caught in the rain without an umbrella and needs a place to wait it out?"

With this thought in his mind he decided wait for a little bit more longer

Scaker took a book and towel from the rental shelf before heading back toward the counter. He pick up the cup the tea on top of the counter only the find thar tea have gotten cold

Scaler Sigh and flips the page of the book he brought deciding to just read for killing time

A book and a cup of cold tea in a rainy weather .He take a sip of the tea while reading the book

"It has been 2 years since I got transported to this world" he mumbled

Scaler was is a ordinary 21 teenager,he was very interested in reading novels and watching anime movies. One day he found a book written on a,language he didn't understand, he didn't care much about the language but he can understand one thing the book it was drawing of wired symbol made of something which looks like red ink?.

Scaler found the symbol interesting and decided to draw it,but the symbol was to big it can be compared with the length of an average truck.he draw those symbols whenever he gets time leaving them incomplete each time .and at one storming night it was finally complete

He waited for something to happen, but to his disappointment nothing came put of it,he slammed the book on the ground with frustration for wasting his time over just some silly symbols which didn't even summon a demon or some shit

He turn back to leave his roam and thr symbol he made but as his hand reached the handle of the door...BOOM a lighting striked at his spot can you believe that? How unlucky he must be to be striked by lighting at his own house despite having the protection of ceiling which was through apart by the lighting

But the interesting part is the lighting didn't striked him ,it hit the symbols he have drawn!

The symbols start glowing bright in red,the light start sucking everything like a black hole including scaler

"Wha-?!"he clutched into the door handle with both his hand taking it's support so he doesn't get sucked into that wired light.

"AHH NOO!!" but his grips weren't strong enough and his hands slipped from the door handle sending him towards the light of that symbols

Now he is here ,he looks around the the store through his counter "this store was the first place and think I saw before somehow coming to this God forsaken wired place"

In those past 2 years he have found out that he is completely on another where both magic and technology exist, and the magic which was refereed to as mana in this world he met humans and another creatures that exist in novels like elves, dwarfs, beast mens and many more races he believed that only existed in myth.he tried to explain them how he got here and help him get back to his world

But whoever he have asked for help for only laughed at him and called him a madman some even make joke about him dropping his brain somewhere on the streets

After all this humiliation and waste of efforts he went back to the only place he was place familiar with the {Mystic book store}.no one runs that store and he doesn't even know why or how was he brought here.thus he become the only owner of this book store running the store and learning about this new world completely losing hope of going back to his world.

Now back to the present "life is always filled with unexpected events isn't it?"

___

Somewhere on the valley unknown streets...

Gurgle!

A man vomited out blood with a sharp bland piercing through his stomach, the holder of that blade was a lady in the black with a swift moments of her another hand holding another blade he slashed the neck of the already wounded man separating hie head from his body

The mean head fell down his eyes still in shock and pain

The lady 'luna henry' pushed awway the body from her before walking out of the valley however, the battle was not over yet. She quickly turned around and drew a long blade to sever the neck of another man.

A heap consisting of more than ten corpses was left in her wake. They gradually burned up and turned to ashes.

This was the aftermath of an alley fight in this downpour.

Blood that had seeped through her black formal dress during the fight dripped onto the ground, evaporating into a wisp of acrid steam that was immediately washed away by the rain.

Her body temperature was rising rapidly. Her blood and muscle started to squirm, painfully alerting her of the number of broken ribs she had.

But this wasn't a problem for her.

As a tracker who had sordid blood injected into her bloodstream, it would only take her an hour to fully recover from such injuries

She left the vally injured "I need find a place to hide somewhere and recover.."

She looked ahead of her.

Vaguely concealed amidst a curtain of rain was a bookstore with faint light peeking through its glass windows. Through the window, she could faintly make out rows of bookshelves.

Aside from the bookstore, everything else in the area was dark.

There were many shops in the vicinity, but with such heavy rain, this was the only one in operation.

The hanging sign at the entrance displayed "Open", and there was a crudely made step for easy accessibility at the entrance. It looked strangely incongruous with its surroundings.

What was even more coincidental was that it was located directly opposite to the alley she had come out from.

"Is it a coincidence or another trap?"

Luna henry didn't have the luxury to stop and think things through. She believed that the hunters could sniff her out with their acute sense of smell, honing in on her like sharks even in this torrential downpour.

She needed to find somewhere to hide as soon as possible and buy sufficient time for her to recover.

Kring!

She entered the store with her blades hidden deep into the her coats ready to draw anytime soon as she saw the danger

The interior of the bookstore was very quiet. She stepped in together with her cane which also a blade weapon faking it's true use, and it didn't take her long to spot the boss of the bookstore.

It was a young man seated behind the counter, reading a book. His shirt and trousers were entirely black.

In contrast to his dark, slightly messy hair, his skin was fairly pale. His slender fingers were holding up a teacup as he gently flipped the pages of the book.

There was another cup on the counter with steam still swirling from it, but no one was on the high stool in front of the counter.

Tuna henry actually had an uncanny feeling that this cup of tea and seat was prepared for her. Feeling a little weirded out, she quickly scanned the entire bookstore with her gaze.

It was narrow and cramped.

Aside from the brimming bookshelves, there were many books strewed all over the floor. Half of the stairway leading to the second floor was blocked by bookshelves, and the windows were mostly caked with dust, giving off an eerie vibe.

The only source of light in this dark, dank bookstore was the lamp sitting on the counter top, and the young man sitting behind it gave off an air of mystery.

There was even a towel on the counter...

Drip! Drip!

Water was dripping off her thoroughly drenched self. Her wet hair was sticking to her neck, and her low cut dress revealed her fair, supple skin.

Scaler not long ago and brought another cup of tea from upstairs of his room ready to enjoy the warm tea,but before he could even touch hie cup of tea he heard the bell of the door ring and with a Kring! Sound he saw a young find lady in the dark coat at the entrance of his door

"Welcome."
