"They chose their money over their daughter?" Viviana asked handing his phone back to him.
"Their money, their life, and her life, probably. I guess his negotiations went like this: Do you want a dead daughter or an alive one in prison? Which parent will ask for a dead child?" Leonardo shrugged and walked to his bed.
"Dad is very impressed with him. I was angry at him when he did nothing. He was so sure your husband would do something. And now…I am warming up to him…" he smiled.
"I married well, huh?" Viviana smiled proudly.
She never would have imagined that she would be proud of someone for threatening someone else, but here she is. This is her life now. And she loved it. It would be just perfect if he was with her and not out of her grasp.
"Didn't he take you against your will and marry you?" Leonardo grumbled.
"You didn't have to say it that way!" Viviana pouted. "He's a gangster. What else do you expect?"
