When she came to, she was out of the mortuary and Leonardo was sitting beside her on the floor.
"You make me want to never fall in love again. I will never get caught being this stupid," he said.
Viviana let out a deep breath. She sensed a warmth on her hand and she saw Leonardo was holding her hand. Seeing the beautiful watch on his wrist, tears filled her eyes.
"Leander has the same watch…" she mumbled.
Leonardo sighed. He wanted to correct her. Leander is no more. She cannot talk about him in the present tense. She looked pale and pitiful. He wanted to get angry at her. It's not like she lost everything. She still has her family. Why would she look like she wants to die?
"The cop said they've charged me?" Viviana asked.
"It's handled. You don't have to talk to them again," he said.
