Leander kissed Viviana's forehead. "Sleep well, Lemon…" he whispered.
He pressed his forehead over hers. His heart was heavy, he didn't know why. Shutting his eyes close, he took in a deep breath.
"I'm sorry for arguing with you, Lemon… I am sorry I didn't listen to you… I'm sorry…" he whispered.
He sucked in a deep breath and sat straight to avoid the wetness from his eyes reaching her and waking her up. She needs rest.
He felt like a kite with its string cut off. He could see that something was terribly wrong. And maybe in his heart he already knew what the answer was. And yet, he couldn't accept it and his mind blocked the answer.
There was so much blood.
He remembered Katerina telling him that she might be pregnant. He scoffed it off. But what if she was right?
Heh!
What if?
There is no need to wonder about what-ifs now. It is clear, isn't it?
No, it can't be… It can't be… How can it be?
