Viviana looked at Leander. He had a smirk hanging by the corner of his lips as if he expected for this to happen. His eyes were sharp and as testosterone and adrenaline flowed through his veins warning his blood, he looked ruddy.
Viviana got calm. If Leander expected this, he must have a plan for an escape. They are far from civilization, and he brought them here to this secluded place for a reason.
Even through the soundproof windows, Viviana heard the loud rotor of a helicopter circling above their car.
"I'LL SPARE YOU IF YOU HAND HER OVER, LEANDER KASTELLO!! THIS IS A VITALE PROMISE!!!"
A voice blasted over in loudspeaker.
Leander held her hand. Viviana rolled her eyes. "What's my say in this, doorknob?" she shouted.
Leander chuckled. He thought she might get scared, but she is in good spirits.
"What kind of insult is a doorknob?" he asked with a smile. His wife is entertaining.
