Chapter 7 - Towards the city

After spending the night on the outskirts of the forest, Seth went onwards deeper in his pursuit of finding a city.

While traversing the forest, Seth looked at the description of his drops from the Slime King.

He took a quick rest break for this.

1x Slime King Egg (raise to grow and become a Slime King companion)

-must be incubated for 1 month.

"First of all, why is it in a form of an egg?"

He took it out of his inventory and was surprised at how small it is.

"It looks like a boba! How come this small little thing can grow into a Big slime?"

While holding the said egg in his hand, he almost dropped it at how small it is.

He was trying to think of a way to nurture it and keep it safe outside his inventory so he looked at the other drops of the Slime King.

1x slime King's Essence

-A very strong and viscous substance. Can be used as a bonding material for high-quality materials.

1x Slime King's Goo

-A very moldable goo that solidifies when a strong force is applied to it. It can protect anything inside it.

1x Slime King's Crystal Orb

-The Slime King's Soul is stored inside. It can be used as a crafting material for high-quality weapons.

"I guess the Slime King's Goo is literally the item given to protect this egg. But even if I use it, I can't carry this thing with my hands in combat."

Seth looked at other stuff he can craft in his inventory- more likely on the grass that he collected.

After browsing for some seconds on what he can craft, he finally saw an item that can store it.

Craft Grass Pouch Bag requirements: 1x slime dust pouch + 10x slime Essense + 50x Grass combined to make a big "Grass Bermuda sheet"

-A very durable storage made from the highest quality grass bonded by a strong slime substance.

Grass Pouch Bag successfully crafted.

Seth took out his Grass Bermuda Cloak and wore the bag.

"Wow, it looks like a sling bag. It even adjusts to my body making it grip tight. With this, I can move swiftly without the worries of the egg falling off."

He then put his cloak back on.

With this, he inserted the small egg in the center of the Slime King's Goo and molded it into a sphere with the egg in the middle. He put the Goo inside the bag.

"No added stats, huh? I think the pouch is just treated as an accessory then."

After that quick stop, Seth continued back to walking. Since there was nothing to do while walking, He kept on picking random plants along the way.

"Although some of these look exactly like plants from home, their names really are so different."

"I remember, I do have some skill points to use."

He looked at his skills and decided to max his Unique skill: Auto-Battle since it was 1 skill level away from being maxed.

"Dragon Heart? so there are dragons here as well? Oh, boy!"

He couldn't contain his excitement after seeing that. He wanted to scream but he instead just jumped around in pure joy.

"Okay, the first goal is to go to a city. I'll find a map and figure things out from there."

He was like a kid happily skipping through the forest.

After some time of walking again, a thought hit his mind.

"I haven't seen any monster here. All I've seen are normal animals like squirrels, wild cats, small birds as well as some boars. Maybe they are hiding because I'm high level?

Notice: The Slime King Egg contains the remnants of the Slime King. It emits an aura that can only be detected by monsters. This aura deters monsters that are lvl 25 or lower to get near it.

"Okay, now I can clarify that normal animals are not classified as monsters here in this world."

Seth took another small break as he found a small pond nearby.

"Although I've felt hungry, I didn't have the urge to drink nor kill those animals earlier to get some food. Is it because I've been on a strict vegetarian diet since I got here? I don't even feel thirsty! I'll just try some meat in the city later on. I'm not an expert in cooking and I don't even know how to skin the animals. I also don't know if this water is safe to drink. I'll just drink some juice in the city as well."

Seth was really positive that he will get to a city soon.

While taking a break, he tried meditating.

A couple of minutes passed and a notice from the system appeared.

-this skill comes in two versions.

Meditation (Max):

Outside combat- increases the effect of passive regeneration of the User. Doubles the HP and MP regeneration per minute.

In combat- increases the attack dmg/magical dmg of the user by 1% every 15 seconds that the user is in combat. The maximum increase in attack dmg/magical dmg is 20%. The dmg increase is removed when the User is outside of combat.

Seth hurriedly checked his new skill's skill tree.

Each trait mastery increases weapon dmg by 10%, 30%, and 50% respectively when equipped while having a 10% chance to hit the opponent with a 10x critical hit.

All weapon mastery traits can be acquired separately.

Notice: Along with mastery traits, "sub-specializations" can be affiliated with the user.

Instead of a skill tree, Seth was met with a mastery trait branch as an upgrade for the precision skill.

"I thought there were no classes but I guess these are just mastery traits so it doesn't count. It still doesn't stop me from using any kind of weapon. This is too much for now. I'll just stick to the bow and the sword for now."

He then looked at his meditation skill.

"I guess just some basic skill upgrades. The first one just amplifies the current meditation skill I have while the second one buffs my offensive skills more sharply."

Seth then thought about ways how he got skills.

"First was my starter skills along with my unique skill. The second was through fighting monsters and I can correlate this to achieving requirements to unlock the skill- like how I tried meditation and acquired the Meditation skill. The third one is through equipping set items. I do hope I can get some skills through skill scrolls or something in the city. I would love to get a summoning skill soon."

He then continued on his way outside the forest in hopes to find a city.
