Anna briefly gave Riley a tour around the external part of the mansion before taking her to Albert, who was waiting for both of them in his home office.
When they entered the heavily guarded office, a stoned face Albert gestured for Riley to take a seat.
"Thank you, sir," Riley said calmly and took her seat opposite her father while her mother went over to her father's side and sat on the arms of his executive seat.
Riley observed the new wrinkles on her father's face which only showed that he was carrying a heavy burden in his heart. She wanted to feel sorry for him but the memories of the day he disowned her and adopted a son in her place flowed afresh in her mind.
This made her harden her heart towards him. She saw him as a ruthless man that didn't deserve her empathy. If there was anyone she would spare on this mission, it would be only her mother, who thought it wise to at least give little assistance in her rescue.
