I didn't know how long I'd been unconscious, but when I woke up I was already on my bed. I didn't know what happened to make me fall unconscious but I felt it has something to do with the clones I told to practice the breathing techniques. sorting out my memories I realized that it was indeed the case.

When my clones tried performing the breathing techniques in a steady rhythm, it went well for a short period, but when they started getting into it the mood, they felt a surge of unfamiliar energy entering their system, and before they could understand what was going on, they dispelled, and with them came the pain.

Remembering the pain I felt sent shudders down my spine, coupled with my still developing body, it was as if I was being turned to stone from the inside out without any way to stop the process.

In short, the pain was indescribable. I don't think I would like to experience that pain again.

I think I recognize that pain. if my assumption is correct, that should be natural energy. Clones should be able to practice senjutsu only when the main body knows how to circulate the energy received, but I don't have primary knowledge about that shit, and my clones went and absorbed it, causing the feeling of petrification in my lungs and body.

I think I would have to give up on using clones to practice kenjutsu while at the same time practicing breathing.

Sigh. it seems all my clones dispelled when I fell unconscious and it's already night time, I guess I didn't achieve anything today. I wonder what I should tell them if I am asked what went wrong.

Before I could continue thinking about it, I was interrupted by the sound of my door opening, and in, came a maid. Nanami was her name and she has been taking care of my needs since I came to this household.

"Ahh!... Shun sama, you're awake?" she exclaimed. I guess I worried her huh? before I could reply, she said.

"I'll let Hagoromo know about this immediately," she continued and left the room.

Not long after she came back, accompanying the old man, along with Ashura and Indra.

I guess I really did worry the entire house.

Ashura seemed genuinely worried about me as he ran to my side.

"Shun, are you okay? What happened? we all heard a scream and then when we came to your room we saw you lying on the ground.

Father said you're alright and just made a mistake while learning. you were turning to stone and then father put his hand on your back and then you were fine, are you really okay?"

Ashura as always was the caring and loving little brother all worried about me. listening to what he said, it seems the old man knows what happened to me, that's why he said I made a mistake.

And I guess he helped spread out the natural energy my clones transferred back to me, if not I'd be dead again without even knowing what killed me. And my assumption was indeed correct, if he did help me circulate the energy in me then it must be natural energy.

"I'm fine Ashura, I guess I made a mistake while training a new technique"

I looked at Indra and nodded at him to show I was okay and that he didn't need to worry. his face eased up before nodding back. finally, I looked at the old man and then bowed and said

"Old man thank you for helping me. I didn't know what happened but I think it's alright now. thank you"

"Haha, don't worry about it young Shun, what matters is that you're feeling better, though I would like to talk to you about what caused this at a later time," he said.

I nodded, "Yes" I knew he wanted to talk about the natural energy I was able to harness. I also knew this was a good opportunity to ask him about natural energy and how to cultivate it.

After some more time spent chatting and making sure nothing was wrong with me, they all left, leaving me alone in my room. with everyone out of my room.

Sigh. I guess I should visit Hagoromo soon. I like the man, he's chill about whatever we do but the person I don't like would be that frog, whatever his name is.

I don't trust that frog. He looks shady, sounds shady, and even behaves shady with all that prophecy bullshit.

Prophecy is trouble, no matter the world. If not for it, Jiraiya could have lived a wholesome life, if he approached Hagoromo and Hamura properly, they wouldn't have had to fight with their mother. but oh well who am I to judge? I bet he had his reasons, but I ain't trusting him.

With these thoughts, I left my room for Hagoromo's.

Entering the room, I bowed and greeted him, and then he asked me to sit down on a mat.

Hagoromo POV

Shun has been unique since the day my son brought him to the house. on that day I was sure I couldn't feel his presence like he popped out of nowhere and was just there, in the forest.

I felt he wasn't carrying any malicious thoughts as he felt like he was neither good nor bad. Like the next action he takes will determine who he'll become.

When he first saw me, his expression showed that he recognized who I am. I wasn't surprised as I would be surprised if he didn't know who I was. I allowed him to live in the compound as it wouldn't sit well with me should I send him away considering that he was alone.

He grew with my children, I taught him together with my children in hopes that he'd grow to acknowledge them as his brothers and family. It didn't take long for Ashura, my youngest, to make him open up to them. He was able to learn and input his ideas during classes.

He was intelligent like Indra and still had a friendly atmosphere around him. He could do what others could hardly think of. His thought process was more advanced than his age.

I once asked him his thoughts on Ninshu and he gave me the answer an adult was meant to give. I was impressed by his wisdom. I wonder what he'll turn out to achieve in the future.

He always has a knack for things he finds interesting like seals. no one would see seals and find them interesting but he does. I saw his desire to learn it, though I wasn't sure whether it was childish curiosity or genuine interest.

I didn't want him to grow in the wrong direction so I made it through so that he couldn't give up halfway through. Surprisingly, he didn't give up and continued learning it patiently. To this day he still comes to ask for instructions when it comes to seals.

The recent action he took, took me by surprise, he harnessed natural energy. how he did it, I have no idea, as it is impossible to do so without guidance from someone perfected in the way of doing so.

I had to ask how he did it and also advise him on how to go from here should he need it. After all, he is my son.

I felt a presence approaching the door and I snapped out my thoughts as I knew Shun had arrived and it was time to have a good talk.
