Shun's POV
From our concealed vantage point, I watched in awe as a fierce battle unfolded.
Kakashi had always been a figure of admiration and respect in my past life, and in this life, he was a mentor to my little brothers, Naruto and Sasuke... And that little Pink girl guarding that old man.
My gaze shifted to the clearing where the battle raged. Most covered the place, adding an even more dramatic element to the scene. Each clash of steel and jutsu brought a sense of awe, as if I were watching a legend come to life.
Feathers let out a soft chirp, her talons digging gently into my shoulder as if to remind me to remain hidden. I nodded in agreement, my eyes never leaving the battle.
This was truly one of those moments to look forward to.
I knew that Kakashi had ventured into the Land of Waves with a purpose, and seeing him here, facing off against Zabuza, filled me with a mixture of intrigue and concern.
I trusted in Kakashi's abilities, but I also knew the danger Zabuza posed.
Afterall, my presence made sure to increase the danger level of se guys in this world... This guy being one of them. Former Anbu as well as a member of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist.
As the battle waged on, I couldn't help but feel a surge of hope. This battle, this clash of titans, was more than just a fight for dominance. It was the mission that will truly open Naruto's eye to the horrors of the Shinobi world.
Of course, I will also be playing a hand in showing the true and actual terrors the world has to offer later on, but for now....
From my concealed vantage point, the battle between Kakashi and Zabuza unfolded with breathtaking intensity. The mist pervaded the air, turning the battlefield into a foggy arena where each movement was as Stealthy as Shadows slipping through the night.
Kakashi, with his silver hair and calm demeanor, moved like a phantom in the mist. His Sharingan eye spinning hypnotically, allowed him to predict Zabuza's movements with uncanny precision.
He was a master of the art of evasion, dodging Zabuza's bone-crushing and fatal strikes with seemingly effortless grace.
On the other side, Zabuza was a whirlwind of fury. Kubikiribocho, his enormous sword, sliced through the mist pervaded air with deadly intent.
His strikes were powerful and relentless, each swing carrying the potential to cleave through anything in its path. It was a testament to his skill that Kakashi had managed to avoid a fatal blow thus far.
The battle had already reached a level of complexity that was a testament to the skill of both Jounin.
Kakashi's mastery of ninjutsu was on full display, as he weaved hand seals and summoned a pack of ninja dogs to harass Zabuza, forcing him on the defensive.
"Kakashi of a thousand Jutsus. Your name precedes you indeed," Zabuza growled between breaths, frustration seeping into his voice as he fought off the relentless assault of the ninja dogs. "However, can your chakra keep up?" He asked with a sneer
Kakashi replied calmly, "it's a matter of quality over quantity. I don't expect you to understand though."
"Heh." Zabuza was far from done. With a sudden burst of chakra, he disappeared into the mist, reappearing behind Kakashi in a flash, his blade aimed for the silver-haired shinobi's back. It was a move of sheer desperation, an all-or-nothing gamble.
Kakashi's Sharingan, however, had not failed him. He spun around with uncanny speed, his kunai meeting Kubikiribocho in a shower of sparks. The sheer force of their clash created a shockwave that sent ripples through the water beneath them.
Amidst the chaos, Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Tazuna watched in awe and trepidation. This was not battle they would be able to influence in any way.
"It's over Zabuza." Kakashi said,
"That's... Thats..Y-you... Can you see the future?" Zabuza asked with a look of horror on his face. All of his Jutsus... Everything had been copied to a Tee, and even performed with such Mastery that it made his own a cheap imitation.
Leveling a glare at the fallen Jounin, Kakashi said. "I forsee... Your death!" But at that instant, a sudden shift in the mist caught their attention.
Out of the swirling fog emerged a figure. Dressed in a formal all black Anbu uniform, with a mask with a sign signalling her affiliation to Kirigakure.
She moved with incredible speed and precision, approaching Zabuza in a blur. Before anyone could react, a needle struck with pinpoint accuracy, making contact with the side of Zabuza's neck and passing through it.
Zabuza's eyes widened in surprise, his movements slowing, and then he crumpled to the ground, unconscious. Haku's actions were swift and graceful.
Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Tazuna watched in stunned silence as Haku stood over Zabuza's fallen form with a calm and composed demeanor.
"Heh heh. Your prediction came true." He said with a chuckle.
Kakashi, who had fled at the arrival of the unknown element, Flickered and appeared beside Zabuza as the masked Haku flickered back.
Placing his hands on his neck to check his pulse... 'Dead... Way dead.' he thought as he glanced at the masked Anbu.
"Thank you for you help." Haku bowed curtly. "I hope you don't mind my interfering...but I wanted the satisfaction of putting Zabuza out of his misery myself."
"The mask is familiar... Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you a Anbu hunter from the hidden mist?" Kakashi asked with his guard still up.
"... Well, aren't you the smart one?" Haku said in a tone chilling voice which served to scare no one.
"An Anbu Hunter?" Naruto at the back asked.
"I am indeed a member of the elite tracking unit from the Hidden mist. It is our responsibility..." Haku began and I tuned them off as I observed Zabuza's body.
Haku's precision was actually quite stunning. He was an impeccable assasin and would probably make a wonderful Medic.
Unfortunately, he was picked up by Zabuza... Well, it's not like it's a bad thing. To him, Zabuza is akin to a father to him so he'd do whatever he wills of her...
Well, not on my watch. As soon as this arc is about to end, I'm saving Haku. She'd make a good student for nee-san.
"What's going on here!?" I was brought out of my musing due to Naruto's characteristic loud voice.
"Relax Naruto. He's not an enemy." Kakashi said as he stood up.
"That's not what I asked. I mean... What I mean is, he killed Zabuza. Who wasn't exactly a pushover! But he still got taken out by a guy who is about my age!" Naruto continued his scream.
I chuckled at the sight of the kid. He still lacks Experience, that's why he feels he's weaker than Haku. Sasuke too. I can actually feel his anger at this same fact.
Kakashi proceeded to explain to them that on their path as Shinobi, they'd surely meet other kids who are younger than him, yet stronger than Kakashi.
"That's a fact you'd have to live with." Kakashi concluded as the two boys gritted their teeth in unwillingness. They probably think they've both worked hard enough, yet it wasn't enough.
Meanwhile, Sakura was being Sakura and standing behind them. Honestly speaking... I do have high hopes for her, but untill reality wakes her up, I'll have nothing to do with her.
Haku then proceeded to carry Zabuza's body and weapon away from the area as a cloud of smoke hid their tracks.
"Now!" Kakashi raised his voice to draw their attention. "We still have to escort Tazuna-san back to his home. Let's put out best feet forward."
"Hahahaha!" Tazuna laughed out loud causing me and feather to almost trip and fall from our spot on a nearby tree. "You poor kids must be so humiliated! But nevermind. You can lick your wounds at my house."
Thump!
"Hmm?" Everyone's attention was immediately brought to the body that just fell loudly on the floor.
"Huh?! What's happening!?" Sakura screamed in shock.
"Sensei!"
"Kakashi-sensei!"
Heh, Kakashi probably used a lot of Chakra using that Sharingan. Serves him right for improving his copied Jutsus. Not everyone is like me who can copy and modify every Jutsu I see. "Right Feather?"
Quack!
"As expected. You know me too well."
