Title: Timeskip 3 and...
...
Thankfully... I was able to meet the three of them before I left for Hanagakure. Izumi and Hana were looking more experienced now... Their previous childishness completely gone.
Itachi hadn't awakened his Sharingan, which means Obito hasn't found him interesting enough to experiment on.
Killing Itachi's teammates as a means to gauge his Visual Potential was both sickening and intriguing at the same time... I don't know if that was his plan or he was just being a sick idiot.
Consoling the crying Naruto and the cute Sasuke standing behind Mikoto with a sad look on his face was one thing on its own. Naruto wouldn't just let go while Sasuke looked like he couldn't wait for me to leave.
His eyes however betrayed his sadness. I probably felt like Itachi to him right now. Walking up to him, I knelt and poked him on the forehead. "Till next time, Sasuke."
"Ouch." He said and rubbed his forehead while giving me angry looks which I ignored and went over to Naruto.
"Why are you crying, Naruto?"
"You're leaving... That's why." He said
"But I'll be back right?"
"But..." He said and held the end of his clothes tightly. I knelt down and said to him, "How about this... You promised me you'd make a lot of friends right?"
"Hm." He nodded
"Then why don't you make lots... You too, Sasuke." "Humph." He snorted. "Then when I come back next year, you'll introduce them to me and tell me all that happened while I was gone."
"You're coming back?" He asked with a hopeful light in his eyes.
"Of course. I'm your big brother. I'll always come back." I said and hugged the little blond. He hugged back and I could feel his emotions calm down a little.
Looking at the pouting little Uchiha at the side I rolled my eyes and said. "Bring it in Sasuke."
"Humph."he snorted but still came and hugged me.
"Now you two should take care of eachother, okay?"
"Don't worry, this idiot can't do much by himself after all." Sasuke was the first to answer angering Naruto. "Hey! Who are you calling an Idiot, dumbass!?"
"Now, now, you two. Remember what I always say, no matter how much you curse at each other, United, you're both stronger than the whole world."
"Of course, I remember." Naruto said with a smile, completely forgetting the insult from seconds ago.
"Hn." Sasuke nodded.
"Now smile and see me off, hm?" I asked and they both put on their brightest smile. Albeit Sasuke was blushing due to the amount of eyes on him.
The kid's got potential to be a lady killer like me...alas, he doesn't have white hair, so he'll never reach my level.
I left as all the friends I had in Konoha came to bid me farewell. Even Kakashi who was now in the Anbu...no surprise there... Came to bid me farewell.
Surprisingly, Hiruzen did too. I still wonder what that guy's deal is...but, I won't meddle. Let him do him while I observe. That was my original goal afterall.
But messing with Naruto would probably see me doing otherwise.
Back in Hanagakure, life went on as smoothly as a flowing river water. Family was good, school was good, my friends were good, challenges from the new entries into my class were also good and welcomed.
I was already clocking 9 years in this world once again. Nothing particularly spectacular happened but... The very winter after I left Konoha, father came back home with a troubled expression.
According to him, something had happened in the Hyūga clan in Konoha. A member of the clan had killed a delegate from Kumogakure, who had snuck into the compound during their heiress coming out ceremony.
I remembered the plot but I didn't see what got him worried.
"They're demanding the head of the Hyūga clan patriarch." Father had said but I still didn't see how that was a concern. "Apparently, the Hokage is too much of a pacifist and doesn't want to get on Kumogakure's bad side."
Ah! I see. That's what this is all about. "Lemme guess, the clan came to us as a last resort?"
"As perceptive as ever Shun." Father praised but I rolled my eyes. Anyone could have thought of that... Right? I looked at mother and Yusano but I also saw the same look of admiration.
"We've been a very secluded nation for over fifty years... We can't do much, but our clan specifically has a pact with them." Father said and then I understood.
Hanagakure couldn't do much to help the Hyūga clan but The Tengoku clan could. Keshiro was a Tengen, but as the Hanakage, he could not place the needs of the clan before the villages.
"So Keshiro-sama sent you?" I asked once again and got a smile of admiration once again. Man, isn't this something anyone could deduce?
"As expected of our little genius." Father ruffled my hair, causing me to deadpan at him. 'Really?' "I've been thinking of how to go about this but so far, I've come up with nothing. Any ideas?" He asked, looking at me hopefully.
"Father," I called out.
"Hmm?"
"You're a grown ass man,"
"Language, young man!" Mother rebuked and I smiled. "Sorry ma'am."
"Anyways, dad?" "Yes?" "Couldn't you just send a letter to the Raikage with a warning?"
"A warning?"
"Yeah. They've grown so arrogant simply because of their military strength which I believe is the greatest amongst the five other villages..."
"Yeah. They had minimal losses during the third war due to their Third Raikage. A wonderful man if I do say so myself." Father said with praise.
"I know right? Fighting off nearly three thousand men for three days. That's a record for sure."
Anyways, I offered a solution which included sending me over to Kumo with a scroll...
"Rejected!"
GAH! Mother rejected the proposition before I could even finish. "Why, Kaa-san?"
"You just want to leave the village for another village, don't you?"
"Whatever could you be talking about, dearest mother?"
"You see! He spoke like that again. He's definitely planned for this again."
"Spoke like what?" I was baffled at the allegation.
"You never call anyone dearest mother, sister or father if you don't have something in that head of yours." Mother said as she stood at akimbo.
"Whatever could you be talking about? This is called being filial, dearest mother," I said with a very earnest expression. I even removed my blindfold so they could see my eyes.
"Well..." Mother was beginning to falter but...
"Kaa-san! Don't fall for it!" Yusano shouted and slammed her hands on the table.
"Manners young lady." I rebuked her in mother's tone but she just glared at me.
"Dad. Shun's idea is good but he's too young to go alone. Why don't I accompany him?" She requested. "I'm strong enough to handle myself." I said but only got a glare from both Yusano and mom... Women...
"Hmm. Your idea makes sense but I think I should go alone." Father said after thinking for sometime.
"And leave our dearest mother all to herself here? How heartless can you be, old man?!" Yusano slammed her hands on the table once more in fake outrage...
"Wha-"
"Is that true Hayaken?" Mother joined in and I began to pity father.
"We can't send out Children to enemy territory..." Pops tried to Reason with his wife all to no avail.
"Are you insinuating that we are weak?" Yusano asked and I rolled my eyes at her.
Long story short. We were allowed to go to Kumogakure on official business... Official Clan business actually. We watched as Pops brought out a scroll and wrote: Should a Hyuga Step into Kumogakure, dead or alive. Kumogakure would be flattened!
Wow! Arrogant much, Pops? He just went and threatened a village of headstrong idiots... Thankfully, we do have the strength to back up our threat.
As for me and Yusano... We were just messengers. Harming us was similar to harming the clan, which Kumogakure would probably think twice about... Hopefully...
I really like Gyuuki's Jinchuuriki... Wouldn't want to actually fight the guy. Bee is an interesting guy through and through, and it was hard to hate the guy.
I watched the guy from when he was a kid... When he was made the Jinchuriki, the hate he received from the village was intense, but he just enjoyed the spotlight.
Quite the intriguing kid back then... I wonder how he is now. .
Due to this being the winter period. School was on break so we had time to travel around, which we did.
...
??? POV.
Location: Konoha.
Should one look around, they would notice a white blanket of snow covering the trees, ground, and houses. I was surprised at how quiet everything seemed.
The only sound I could hear was my feet crunching in the snow. The smell of damp pine trees made the air feel fresh and clean.
That was until...
"Hey, if you're a Hyuga, show us your Byakugan!" I heard the sound of someone talking not so far from me. Hmm, lemme check up on them.
"If you can't then don't show your face around here?" Another voice said. Who were these guys, and how could they say something like this?
From their voices, they seem to be the same age as me...or slightly older, I don't know. But that tone is so similar to the bullies I've faced before.
"Your eyes are so creepy!" Another voice said. Hmm, a female this time. Geh. Nii-san always said that girls who had foul mouths are not worth being kept around.
"I bet you're actually a monster, right?" Another voice said as soon as they came into sight. "You Byakugan monster!" Another voice insulted and they all began to laugh.
The person, or rather girl that was being insulted covered her face and began to cry, which pissed me off greatly. I hated bullies, but to even bully a girl was just downright wrong and mean... Especially a cute girl like that.
Nii-san always said that bullies were just unfortunate people who had a complicated upbringing, so I shouldn't hold grudges against them.
However, as I watched the three bullies laugh as the girl wept, I couldn't help but feel a little resentment.
"Hey! Stop!" I shouted and ran up to them ready to pick a fight if necessary.
"Eh, what's wrong with you?" One of the boys said as he turned to me.
Stopping my charge, I introduced myself. "I'm Uzumaki Naruto!" Nii-san always said to introduce myself before a fight. It makes me look badass... "I'm the future Hokage!" With a little bit of swagger.
"Huh? The future Hokage?"
"Aren't you just stupid?"
"Humph. Prepare yourself..." I said and formed a hand sign. I've seen Nii-san and Itachi-nii perform so many times. "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"
Puff. Puff.
Two clouds of smoke erupted in front of me. I really didn't know if this would work, but it usually worked for Nii-san so it should work...
What!? It actually worked? As expected of me. I'm a genius. Huhuhu.
General POV.
Naruto watched with bated breath as the cloud of smoke cleared... expecting to see two more of his clones so he could even out the playing field with these bullies.
"Eh?" Naruto blurted as he saw what stood in front of him. Two mini-hims stood at barely half a foot in height as they pointed at the bullies.
"Watch as I beat you up!" One of them said,
"As will I!" The other said.
Naruto just stood there dumbfounded with cold sweat dripping down his back.
'What is this? It usually worked for Nii-san right? What went wrong?' Naruto thought.
"Hahaha!" The three began to laugh as Naruto was still caught up in his shock.
"Take that!" One of the kids ran up to him and threw a punch in the face.
Naruto blacked out for a second, but came to quickly after. However, he was too disconcerted to actually stand or move.
"Hehe. Now this guy got his lesson"
"What's up with this 'Future Hokage?'"
"Let's take care of his red scarf for being too cocky!"
Naruto watched as the three boys used his red scarf to play around. Using it to swing from the tree and finally stumping on it till it was torn all over.
To him who had just received his first ever punch, it felt like only an instant, but when he finally registered what was going on... Minutes had already passed.
"It's not over yet!" He screamed and got up. "this time I will bet on an awesome Jutsu!" He said but looked around and saw no one other than the girl.
His adrenaline rush seemed to turn off at that moment and the pain came crashing down.
"Urgh..." He groaned as he squatted on the ground and rubbed his face.
"A-ar-are you okay?" The dark haired girl stuttered as she asked in worry.
"It's nothing..." Naruto said. For some reason, the pain really did subsidize a little.
"Hmm... Your scarf. These boys..." The girl said as she showed him the scarf.
"Sigh..." Naruto sighed and waved his hand at her. The scarf wasn't really important, it was given to him by that old geezer that his Nii-san told him to watch out for
"I'm sorry." The girl apologized.
"Don't worry about it. Why are you apologizing?" Naruto said and stood up as he dusted himself.
"I mean...I caused why you were beaten up so...."
"Don't apologize for that. You did nothing wrong. If anything, it's those boys who should apologize." Naruto said and turned to leave. "Next time something like this happens, you should fight back. Nii-san said that if you put a bully in his place, he'll be... I've forgotten...but make sure to fight back next time." Saying that, Naruto began walking away
"Wait!"
"Hmm?"
"Thank you once again."
"Hehe, See you!" Naruto smiled and ran off. The feeling of being told thank you was too much for him.
Shun always did tell him the feeling of being told 'thank you' far outweighs anything... He just got that feeling right now and was about to go brag about it to his rival, Sasuke.
The dark haired girl watched his back gradually disappear into the snowy horizon and clutched the red scarf tightly in her hands. She mulled over what he just said and compared it to what her mother usually told her.
Her mother always said that kindness was a virtue and she shouldn't intentionally hurt others. With the training she usually got at home, she could've easily beat up the bullies, but her mother's words kept her from doing just that.
'Hmm, perhaps I should ask father about this.' She thought and turned to walk back home.
Unknown to everyone, this thought wasn't even supposed to be birthed in the first place. Shun had unknowingly influenced Naruto, who unknowingly influenced Hinata.
This change wouldn't be known until later on in the future.
