Title: 10 Years Later
...
"Your students, Madara and Hashirama just had another showdown earlier today." Hinami said as she arranged some documents on the table near a white haired young man.
"Hmm, I've heard. What about it?" The white haired young man said non-committed while shuffling through some documents.
"They're causing more harm wherever they fight, it's destroying the landscape." Hinami answered.
"I don't see how that's a problem, Nami, they're warriors with chakra, fighting without causing damage to their surrounding would mean they're still weak, and that's one thing my students aren't." The young man said plainly.
"Sigh. I knew you wouldn't see it, I'm worried about the future you said they'll bring about. With the way they're fighting, I don't see them ever forming an alliance." Hinami said.
"Yeah, me too, I don't see it, but one thing I do see is the spirit of Indra and Ashura in them. No matter what, Hashirama would accomplish what he has set out to do. Thats what makes Ashura's reincarnations unique. Don't mind it too much, babe." The young man said as he finished with the documents in the table.
Sitting up on his chair he asked. "How about the others, have the boys shown any unique skills?"
Hinami shook her head. "They're strong, but perhaps it's because they're following someone's example, so there isn't anything new or unique about them. Also, I feel that there isn't much threat to their life due to the template you gave them."
"Ah! The templates, huh? My laziness made me create those. I didn't want to cause much terror to the kids, Madara and Hashirama were unique you see... Well, I guess that will be a surprise for the future." The young man said.
"Sigh. Whatever Shun, then the lass, Tomoe, why did you train her that bad? You could've damaged her soul." Hinami questioned as she sat on a chair opposite him.
"Hah. I'm a God, Nami, a Creation God, at that, Astral body manipulation is like your everyday breakfast. Also, she doesn't have much effect on the main events." The young man, Shun replied.
"I feel like the second part is your main reason for that." Hinami said looking at him with squinted eyes.
"Pshh, far from that. How's she doing by the way?" Shun asked changing the direction of the discussion.
Hinami understood that but still answered. "She's good, just had a major battle against, little Nami, they quickly became friends and Nami took her to that little island of women she found those years ago."
"Ah. Izanami huh? Why haven't those two come see me after all these years? It can't be that they didn't feel my your presence not to talk of mine." Shun asked with a pout.
"They're adults Shun, they can do whatever they want." Hinami defended them.
"Yeah. Yeah, whatever. How's Ria and Kaguya doing back there. You following me back to this island must have created a vacuum over there at Rōran, right?" Shun asked and stood up to take a look at the bustling city outside.
"Nah. They're handling everything perfectly well, they aren't even needed there, they just wanted to maintain our place as the ruling body of the company you've created." Hinami said with pride.
"Company? What company?" Shun turned around and asked in surprise.
"Sigh. Shun, this is why I said you should focus when you do things, right now, we hold this entire planet in the palm of our hand in terms world economy. Even Daimyos and merchants have to come to us before they can do anything money related." Hinami summarised.
"Really? Why haven't I heard of it? Oh, sorry... But still, I created that bank just to help out two kids in the future, nothing more, nothing less. I didn't expect it to grow to this extent." Shun said while feeling a weird sense of pride.
"Also, Kaguya's study on the Dragon Vein yielded some gains, now she has an extra dimension filled with what she calls speed force
{A/N: I have a reason for that, don't be too hasty to judge.}
"Really now? That's neat. How fast has she become?" Shun asked with interest.
"She says she could probably erase our timeline if she so will it," Hinami answered offhandedly.
"Neat." Shun's smile grew wider as he heard that.
"Unfortunately, she can't erase a timeline I'm tethered to, but there is a possibility of her being able to access the original timeline." Shun mused out loud.
"Original timeline?" Hinami asked.
"Mm... A timeline where I didn't exist or didn't get these weird knowledge inserted into my head. I believe this timeline strayed from its original plot due to that." Shun said casually as he wasn't lying.
Due to his promise to Hinami all those years ago, Shun had managed to never lie to her once, but that doesn't mean he tells her to truth.
The fact that Shun has knowledge beyond these world wasn't much of a secret, but Shun had said that those knowledge were out in there by someone; that wasn't a lie, as it was indeed out in there by that God.
"If she can access it then we could check out how things play out without us having met you right?" Hinami asked with growing excitement.
"Yup, but that would be left for later, or more like, I feel someone would do the convergence for us in the far off future." Shun said and looked into the sky, his ruby red eyes flashed for an instant before settling back.
"You and your feelings... I'll wait for that day then." Hinami said and stood up to leave.
"I love you Nami. Don't forget that." Shun said gently.
"Humph." Hinami snorted as she left the room.
Hinami had been with him the longest and had also been the most understanding of the three while also being the most accomodating.
Sometimes, even Shun feels like she's too perfect as a woman, but it is what it is.
Shun looked up at the setting sun and let out a sigh. It had been ten years since he had adventured for a short while while also selecting people to give his templates to.
These templates were just a special system of sort that acts as a guide to make sure the person with the system develops in a certain fashion.
It was good but without a flexible mind to try out new things, that will be the end of them. They'd just absorb what the template has for them and that will be their limits. They'd be strong, no doubt, but that's it.
"Well, I did make it so they'd be able to give Madara and Hashirama a proper fight should the need arise. Also, at 100 percent assimilation, the selected few should or must have awaken a special Haki." Shun said out loud.
"Hopefully, they live up to my expectations." Shun thought. "Kazuma." He called out.
"Hai, Sonchō." A figure flickered into the room and saluted Shun with his right hand crossed across his heart and his left hand placed behind him. {A/N; Attack on Titan style.}
"How's the selection process for the next batch of the black numbers?" Shun asked in a gentle voice uncharacteristic of a leader.
"Reporting sir. The process is going as smooth as ever. Every squad already have 2 to 3 individuals in mind for this year's graduates." Kazuma answered.
"Mm? 2 to 3? Isn't that much? I remember that for the past 3 to 6 years, the maximum has always been 1 in most squads and none in the others." Shun turned and asked in genuine surprise.
"Hai. This year, we had some losses to our numbered squads so there's a need for some new bloods." Kazuma answered with his stoic face but Shun could feel his pain behind that mask.
"I see. Lemme know when the final procedure would be handled I need to be there in person." Shun ordered.
"Hai. Sonchō-dono." Kazuma gave a nod and exited with a flash.
"Hmm... Hashirama and Madara should be in their early twenties now. 5 to 7 years before the villages are formed. Gotta lead by example and give them a century long gap. Hehe." Shun chuckled as he thought this.
As for the numbered squads, this was the idea the 'young master' of the Tengoku clan had come up with in his teenage years.
Shun had used a little world wide Genjutsu to insert himself as one of the Clan master's sons. With a little transformation Jutsu, he blended in as a 12 year old 10 years ago, and 10 years later, he had become the new Village head.
His first project was to perfect the initial system he gave the clan elders of a century ago to develop the clan and instead of making it a general thing, he made it special by only accepting unique individuals into the group.
The numbers, or The Black Numbers. 0 to 9.
The idea was borrowed from the Gotei 13 but restructured to fit the village system.
The Black Numbers were just an Anbu squad. Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai. Special Assasination and Tactical Squad.
They were all Anbu but only the 0 squad was actually doing the Anbu stuff. They were the Anbu inside the Anbu. Like a Special Black Corp inside the Black Corps.
0- Special Corp/Special Assasination
1- Information Gathering squad
2- Police
3- Sealing Squad
4- Medical Squad
5- Defense Squad
6- Analytic Squad
7-
8-
9-
The last three were still left for special occasions. I didn't have anything special thing to do so they were left vacant.
The squad 0 one and only task is to guard the Sonchō or soon to be Kage while also following whoever holds the special token of the Kage.
They were to answer to only the Kage and no one else.
As of now, there were only 9 members of which Kazuma was among. Every one of them were in charge of other squads as their head captain while the Kage was in charge of squad 0.
This was also the reason why the last three spots were left vacant. Three of the squad 0 members had no special squad to create, or atleast, that was their excuse, but one had to know that Shun could recognise a lazy person afraid of responsibility from a mile away so he indulged his fellow kindred spirit.
Hinami was in charge of the information gathering squad while Kazuma was in charge of the medical squad.
This was also why he was sad at the loss of his comrades.
He had decided to remain by Shun's side as Shun could need medical attention at any moment and he needed to be there at the shortest possible time.
Shun had nothing to say about it and neither did Hinami, they were all in squad zero and were all eccentric in their own way.
As for Shun's kindred spirits, Shun decided to attend this years meet, just to have a talk with them.
