[ "Will the world be ready for his return?"
Mirauleo reminded, lectured, and questioned as he stood there thinking out loud. I couldn't help but be a little worried, wondering what would happen when the God of nature returned. Would be he happy with my work? My progress? Would he be angry that I accidentally adsorb Lexi Bathory's power within the gemstones for snow? Would he be angry that I had included winter as part of the cycle of the seasons? Would he be like the goddess of fate and bring to the blink of ruin whatever I had created? Will I be ready for his return? Is it even possible to be ready?
"Hmm... Actually, the most important thing to remember is who holds the true power here on earth!"
Mirauleo changed his mind as he patted my shoulder, breaking me from my thoughts and pulling me back to reality.
" The goddess of fate since she is a universe god?"
I guessed with a confused expression.
"What?! No! She has power over space and whatever that's out there beyond the Earth. She has no power here, on earth! Earth is our domain!"
Mirauleo exclaimed with a fisted hand and a snarl. He growled angrily through his throat which sounds like a whine since his mouth was clenched. Looking at his expression, I couldn't help but snicker extremely happy that my brother was angry and making a dumb face. His expression soon loosen into a blank face as he glared at me.
"What?"
I asked with a huge grin on my face. Mirauleo shoved me to the side before storming down the corridor.
" Oh! So you're so happy when I'm angry! Why the hell are you so annoying?"
Mirauleo barked back at me but his pace was slow, waiting for me to catch up. I caught up to him and shoulder-bumped him.
" Why are you so annoying?!"
I asked back.
"Cause I'm stuck with you for a brother."
Mirauleo teased back as he poke my cheek and pushed me a distance away from him.
" Can't you shut up and pay attention? Who holds the true power here on earth?"
He repeated the question as he opened the door to his office and gestured for me to come in.
" The earth?"
I guess as I rubbed my neck and entered his office, the curtains were drawn and only a candle flickered on this desk, making it hard to see but I still could see the silhouettes of the furniture.
" That's right! And we are the earth's guardians! We hold the most power in this world. So no matter what bullcr** those gods tell you. Remember! It was the 3 of us who woke the earth, it was the 3 of us who reported what the gods were up to, and it was because of our suggestions that the two new gods Helder and Givendale were created. The earth depends on us to be her eyes and ears as she sleeps."
Mirauleo lectured some more as he placed both his hands on my shoulder and guide me to stand in front of the glass doors that lead to the balcony before standing in front of me and gripping the curtains. Oh, he's building up for a grand reveal of something... Is it really that necessary for a grand reveal? Why can't he just show it to me normally?
" And there's no way that I'm going to allow the Goddess of fate to do as she, please. She may be a universe god but here on Earth! I determine how fast the earth spins, I determine how each realm's time flows, I determine how every last existing creature on this earth perceives time! I and I alone! "
Mirauleo thundered as he pulled back the curtains, light instantly flooded the room. The view overlooks the center of the whole clockwork where there was a courtyard for the fairy to gather whenever Mirauleo needed to announce something from the balcony. To my surprise, pixies were flying about alongside the fairies. Mirauleo opened the glass door and gestured for me to follow. We step out and leaned against the railing of the balcony. Watching the many gears turn, bringing dust from one end to the other, watching the fairy and pixies flutter about, carrying out their duties. From the corner of my eye, I noticed Mirauleo watching me.
" What?"
I questioned as I turned to him.
" Well? What do you think?"
Mirauleo urged.
" I think I'm in trouble. If you're running out of gemstones to the point where you need to use pixies to run your realm."
I whined and Mirauleo facepalm before whacking me on the back of my head.
"Idiot! Look carefully at the female fairies."
Mirauleo demanded as he grabbed my shoulders pulling me close to him, he then pointed at a fairy and my gaze followed his finger. Just to notice that the fairy was extremely fat.
" You're giving them fattening food?"
I guessed again, his arm fell on top of the railing. My brother lets out a very long and exhausting sigh like he was giving up on everything in life as the right side of his body slumps over my body and his left side slumps over the railing.
" Why do you have to be so annoying?"
Mirauleo questioned as his forehead rested on my shoulder.
" What? What did I do, now?"
I casually asked as I opened my eyes and looked carefully at the fairy he pointed out. Trying to figure out what he was trying to show.
" Earlier you saw my flame fairy embedding small pieces of emerald into different types of gemstones, right? "
He asked and I nodded as a reply.
" Remember the last time you infused your magic with emerald? What was the outcome?"
Mirauleo questioned as turned to look at me and rested his chin on my shoulder.
" They became nature spirits that split and created more nature spirits just like certain plants. "
I answered with a few gestures trying to illustrate how the nature spirit split with my hands.
" Now imagine that but inside a fairy."
Mirauleo ordered as he waved a hand in front of me. I nodded in reply.
" Now look at the fairy again."
He demanded as he pulled my shoulders to his chest again and pointed out at the same fairy. I stared at the fairy for a long time before it finally clicked.
" Ohhhhhhhh!!! You mean!!"
I exclaimed as I turned to him. Mirauleo looked me in the eyes and nodded.
" Which means..."
I trailed off.
Mirauleo nodded again.
" So that's why..."
I added on.
" Yup."
Mirauleo confirmed.
" Then what does the male fairy do now? Is it still the same to create a male fairy? Using gemstones that still have a few minerals and rocks stuck to them to make them slightly stronger. "
I questioned with a tilted head.
" Oh, that's all still the same. I didn't embed any emeralds on the males. Can't have all of them splitting like bamboo. Later we would have more fairies and pixies than we can handle."
Mirauleo laughed as he shook his head and whacks my back hard.
" So your pixies would grow to become fairies then those that are female start to split?"
I hesitantly asked, extremely curious about how it works.
" Yup, that's the idea. The faires grow to their full size then start laying gemstones then from there I shall determine it to be a male or female then infuse my magic, turning them into a little pixie. My full plan was to have all the pixies help you, then when they grow up based on element types they would either go to my workshop or Morpheus's workshop or protect nature. That way I don't have to keep draining myself of so much power to charge up your and Morpheus's magical stones to create pixies or fairies. And that's not even the best part! Now that I have more helpers, the goddess of fate no longer can mess around with the timeline on Earth. Heck! I might even be able to stop her angels. Not all faires would be stuck here trying to keep my realm from malfunctioning and the destruction of my realm. I can even send a few to the mortal realm to put a stop to whatever that's causing the flux in the space-time continuum."
Mirauleo excitedly leaps on the same spot and did a little jiggy dance as he happily tells me his grand plan.
[Quest Completed: More pixies
Task: Convince Dustman, Mirauleo, to give you more gemstones.]
As I watched my brother do his little dance I couldn't help but feel happy for him for a moment before the urge to bully him or disturb him in some way came over me.
" Why you gotta be so weird."
I laughed as I pushed him a little causing him to miss a step in his little dance.
" Why are you so weird?"
Mirauleo snapped back at me as he shoulder-bumped me back. I couldn't help but repeat the same thing in between laughs as I shoulder-bumped him back before we started a long pointless bricking laughing at how dumb the conversation was. Stopping only for a moment to repeat the dumbest line/ dumbest part of the conversation with a more exaggerated facial expression and gestures, just to start another wave of laughter that neither of us could stop.
