The Realm Above.
A place of existence before all had come, existence before existence had even begun, a time before time had been constructed.
From here, creation had sprouted. The realm above was of a place with seemingly no pure
direction, as most any way seemed true, yet untrue. Endless mountain tops sprouted in every non-direction as clouds amassed to show no true sky, too thick to see through, but never any rain.
Not long ahead, creation will spread outwards, filling the Realm Above with a new purpose, to house and control all of creation at the center of the realm, when no center should be.
Cracks have begun to form, shattering fragments filled areas in the sky, cracking until they finally broke loose, altering color upon its departure from its placement in the sky, moving outwards, but not falling, but floating. Loud crashes could be heard beyond the horizon, to directions imperceivable, directions incoherent.
The shards. These shards that fell apart from the sky are realms. The universes, the multiverse, creation. From here, the beginning has been created after the end had taken place. Each shard is a new story, or one that has already been told, floating in the higher plane in which they have been forged from. The sky of the Realm Above grew dark soon after the shards of creation began to glow a purple hue, marking the true birth and beginning of the universes within the infinite shards.
A dark figure stepped within the middle of the realm above, cloaked in darkness, lit by the purple hue of the shards of creation. The unknown individual's eyes moved around, glancing from universe to universe as he stood on the peak of the realm where all was formed, until he spotted one in particular. The one had raised a hand out from under his torn cloak in the direction of one of the realm shards that the beings' red and gold filled eyes laid upon. The shard floated over into the hand of the one, his eyes remaining upon it, a familiarity with this one in particular.
"I wish I could have done more…"
The words came ever so quietly from underneath the torn hood, a moment later he finally let go of the shard to let it float back with the rest.
