The cold palace is not as its name suggested at all, because it shares the same atmosphere as that of the Li Clan, in fact, the cold palace was not the name given to it when it was first built.
The name given to it then was 'Xïn'ài Palace.'
The palace was built for a Li clan prodigy 600 years ago.
This person was so talented that if given enough time, he would have dominated the entire Xuan empire and the country further.

This was the reason why Little Liu was shocked and scared when she heard Li Zhiqiang command Li Yu to go there.
But what Li Yu was thinking now was totally different from everybody else.
'How could this little place that is not worth the castle of an outer elder in my family be called the biggest palace in an entire empire?' Li Yu thought in ridicule as he stared at the palace from afar.
He began to look forward to the day he would spend there.
"Ma- master, are you sure you would be able to stay here alone?!" Little Liu asked, looking at her master with concern.
She felt that the palace that could contain thousands of people would be too big for her master to stay alone.
She began to regret why she had not persuaded him when he told her they are visiting that Inn the other day.
Li Yu looked at her dotingly and whispered.
"Knowing that fact that my Little Liu would come to visit me every day is enough to keep me sane, even if I was to stay here forever."

While sulking quietly, the guard suddenly felt goosebumps running over his skin.
Looking around with a start, he abruptly saw two cold holes straight from the abyss staring at him with the sort of killing intent he had never felt before in his entire life.
"Little Liu, don't cause trouble," Li Yu smiled brightly and spoke whispered to Little Liu.
He had also felt the anger in the guard, even though the other party was trying to hide it, he felt that he would be lowering himself if he were to get into a fight for such reason.
Little Liu who heard what Li Yu said, gave the scared guard a final look that contained warning and death intent before looking away.
'Scary!!' The guard thought in fear as a loud alarm rang in his mind.
"I should go now."
"See you tomorrow."
Li Yu gave little Liu an affectionate gaze, then he took large strides and left without turning back.
The guard who saw this immediately sighed in relief and rushed ahead of Li Yu to open the large gate for him.
Little Liu watched the back of the person who was always in her mind and almost broke down in tears.
"Kacha….."
The two huge gates was pushed open, and loads of dust scattered everywhere.
Without a change in expression, Li Yu walked inside.
The guard, as if at alert, waiting for Li Yu to enter instantly closed the gates with a clang sound, and he rushed to the small building a few meters away from the palace while avoiding eye contact with Little Liu.
The building he would be staying till Li Yu was freed.
Li Yu couldn't help but turn to look at the tightly shut gate with a smile on his lips.
'I should be able to break through the Foundation Establishment realm here before I leave,' Li Yu thought happily.
The reason why Li Yu was not sad about the fact that he would be locked away was that he knew what he needed now to break through by leaps and bonds without being disturbed or anybody knowing is this place, the cold palace.
